One man has been charged by police after a grassfire just off of Highway 1 near the Gas City Campground.
The fire started at approximately 5 p.m. and police announced Sunday they have charged 61-year-old Wesley VanBocquestal with three counts of breach of probation, breach of recognizance, arson and possession of incendiary material.
Police say no one was injured in the fire and none of the surrounding buildings were damaged.
VanBocquestal is set to appear in provincial court on March 16.
