A group of firefighters are camped out in front of Walmart until 4 p.m. today accepting toy and cash donations for the Santa Claus Fund.
The CFB firefighters do this toy run every year with the goal of raising hundreds of toys and thousands of dollars to help families get the Christmas they deserve each year said firefighter Brant Becker.
“With times being tough right now, it’s important for people to support a cause like this,” he said. “I have no problem getting 10 guys to come and help out on a Saturday morning because we understand how important this is to the community, especially right now.”
The firefighters will be in at the Walmart until 4 p.m. today and will return next Saturday to accept more donations from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
