Past favourites and new classics. That’s what the Louisiana Hayride show is offering when it stops in Medicine Hat next week.
On Oct. 19 at the Medicine hat College Eresman Theatre, the historic radio program will come to life through the some of the top songs and performers of the 1950s to the 1970s.
Singers and musicians will recreate the performances of such legends as Elvis Presley, Patsy Cline, Loretta Lynn, Willie Nelson and more. The show has recently added a Shania Twain act to its roster and music from Johnny Cash, Jerry Lee Lewis, Conway Twitty and more is also on the setlist.
In a press release, promoters note “The Louisiana Hayride Show, complete with studio stage set, amazing tribute artists and live band will bring you back in time to when songs were meaningful, the words were understood and the sound was pleasant. The cast and crew of the Louisiana Hayride are dedicated to bringing authentic music to you. The songs you hear will be true to the originals.”
The show starts at 7:30 p.m.
