The Medicine Hat Symphonic Society will welcome performers past and present for its 40th annual Concerto Celebraion of Music on Sunday at Medicine Hat College at 2 p.m.
The Medicine Hat Symphonic Society is hosting a 40th annual Concerto Celebration of Music Sunday at the Medicine Hat College theatre.
The event begins at 2 p.m. and it will feature a number of performers who have played in the city over the years.
“The concert will feature a number of alumni from the Medicine Hat Concerto Competition performing and it’s going to showcase a variety of music over the afternoon,” said president Cameron Clark. “There’s going to be piano, vocal and strings performances and there will be everything from classical to musical theatre.
“A number of the performers are currently going through or have gone through post-secondary schooling and are pursuing careers in music.”
The concert will run for around an hour and a half and will feature 14 musicians who will perform solo and in groups.
“These performers are great and very talented,” said Clark. “This is going to be a great show.”
