Pops and Favourites returns this weekend

Medicine Hat Concert Band Society is back with another edition of Pops and Favourites this weekend.

The Saturday concert, which starts at 7:30 p.m., marks the sixth edition of the popular series. The theme for this one is Trilogies, Movies and Rhapsodies.

Conductor Bill Wahl and the Andante and Allegro concert bands will present “themes from well known movies, popular rhapsodies with a bohemian vibe, and a toe tapping Polynesian adventure,” reads the page on the Esplanade website.

Classic band music by Gustov Holst and Gordon Jacobs will also be performed.
