Medicine Hat has had its fair share of mentions in pop culture. The city gets a mention in the chorus of the Guess Who’s “Running Back to Saskatoon” and native son Gordie Johnson of Big Sugar co-wrote and sings an ode to his hometown in “All Hell For a Basement.”

A few years back Medicine Hat got a quick mention on the show “30 Rock,” starring Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin.

Add the Netflix series “The Ranch” to Medicine Hat’s Hollywood moments.

Medicine Hat’s Curtis Noble posted a clip from season 3 of the show, which stars Ashton Kutcher and Danny Masterson, on Twitter Monday night.

In it, Kutcher’s character recounts a time his football team was down 24 to the Medicine Hat Marauders and tells Masterson his teammates wanted to give up.

“Let’s take off, eh. We’re not aboot to beat these hosers,” Kutcher says in a Canadian accent, drawing laughs from Masterson and the audience. “Let’ s go drink some Molson eh, let’s go drink some syrup, eh.”

The story ends with the inevitable comeback completed and a “never quit” lesson.
