Juno Awards heading to Atlantic Canada in 2024 for a second Halifax event

TORONTO – The Juno Awards are returning to Halifax next year.

The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences announced the awards will be held in the port city for the first time since 2006, when Pamela Anderson hosted the ceremony.

Halifax will host Juno Week events starting March 20, 2024, leading up to the awards show on March 24 at Scotiabank Theatre.

This year’s Juno Awards take place in Edmonton this week, with the broadcast featuring top nominees and a slew of performances airing Monday. It’s hosted by Simu Liu.

The awards show will be broadcast and streamed on CBC and CBC Gem as well as available to listen on CBC Radio.

This year’s top nominee is The Weeknd with six nods, followed by Tate McRae and pop-punk favourite Avril Lavigne with five nods each.
