I am not a judge, but I drank coffee and ate lunches with many levels of court judges and justices for nearly 40 years. If judges are chosen by politicians, whether provincial or federal, they usually have a previous connection to the party in power. The better selection system is done by a committee of citizens unconnected to government. But what the best system is I don’t know.

If someone would explain why we are discussing oil pipelines before the separation issue is resolved. If not, there should not be any tax dollars spent until after a referendum. We are, after all, in a deficit position.

How can the feds “buy back” my gun. I didn’t buy it from them. I bought it legally from a store. They don’t get to have it now for free (no guarantee of any “buy back” funds). Opting out.

That regardless of where you sat on 26 recalls, it should be a reality check to those elected MLAs who are funded by the public tax purse. Petitions were not from a few disgruntled malcontents, and any employee worth their metal should be evaluating their work, either by actions or inactions that prompted this.

That separation folks believe just leaving Canada is going to happen quickly. Regardless of all the hopes and promises, did you forget that Canada is still a Commonwealth nation under rule by a monarchy? Even if you win the vote, you would still have to convince the King to let you go and to pay the Crown for all federal land and property rights. I guess you all have deeper pockets than me.

Met a lovely couple with a Great Dane the other night; such a beautiful dog and so gentle. Thank you for tolerating my endless questions and allowing me to pet your dog. It was indeed a pleasure and I hope to see both out again.
