Thank you, Medicine Hat News, for printing the real reason there no longer is a Canada Post outlet at MacKenzie Drugs. Apparently it was the owner’s decision to remove this longstanding service to the community.

That the bus stop at Parkview and Police Point Drive was discontinued. To get to the college or mall, my son now has to walk 1.4 km, often in the cold or on ice, to get to the nearest bus stop. The same goes for other students, international students, those who do not drive, the impaired or disabled in the area.

A few years ago you had to get a COVID vaccination, they were available everywhere and you had to carry a “vaccination passport.” Now only one government-run clinic gives a COVID vaccination. They treat you like a villain and they want over $100 for it. Yet, my doctor says “get it.” So it’s not health care, it’s politics? So confused.

With all the whining from the Conservative leader/caucus. Boo hoo. Cry us a river. We hear enough from the south that the sky is falling. Haven’t heard a conservative yet say anything cheery in my 80 years of life.

There are so many dead geese on either side of Finlay Bridge. It is tragic and sad. Will Fish & Wildlife remove them sooner than later? Rotten carcasses are something we don’t need to add to the list of ‘ugly’ in this world state of affairs.

So I’ve been sitting in different sections trying to get the ‘Go Tigers Go’ chat going. Some sections fail miserably. Section G is awesome but section J failed miserably.

It is absolutely infuriating how high the gas prices are in Medicine Hat. So many other cities and towns across the province are as low as 104.6 and have been that price for a few months. Yet here, it remains at 122.9-124.9. There is no reasonable justification for this except greed.

With the Letter to the Editor about toxic bosses. This has been happening for decades and the employee has no place to turn but to either quit or cope with mental health issues.

We expect our kids to grow up playing sports, making friends and having fun with no pressure. Now when they want to watch their favourite team in any sport, they’re bombarded with ads for liquor, or gambling. How can they not be influenced by this stuff when they are promised big money, or a great time drinking?

For those always criticizing the federal government, I urge you to listen to Carney’s speech in Davos. It is the stunning reality of world dominance without ever naming the culprit, “Because if you are not at the table you are on the menu.” Do you honestly believe another party leader could achieve at this level? Or that they could lead us during these difficult times?

To the person who thinks we have no other choice than Danielle Smith. We sure do. I will vote for anyone other than her, and it’s not the party I don’t like but the person and the corruption happening here.

Personally, I get pretty good value for the taxes I pay, probably in large part because I don’t ask for much. Regardless which way you lean politically, if you really believe “your” preferred government wants to be your friend, try to remember who will be financing the relationship.

Yes. Yes I would definitely vote NDP or Liberal to get rid of Danielle Smith and her little minions, who would hand over Alberta to Trump without a moment’s notice.

More worried really that people are signing the petition for Alberta to leave Canada and say it has nothing to do with the U.S. Yet, the ones collecting the signatures say they talk to the U.S. government regularly.
