Ticked Off Where is Alberta’s premier to take responsibility for health care visibly crumbling before our eyes due to decisions this elected official made? Your solution is costing Albertans lives. You obviously have no clue what you’re doing. Ticked Off Considering the Alberta political climate, it’s asking for trouble pandering your view with decals on vehicles. Give me a break, if you were broke down on the highway, just saying I’d see that and keep on going. Tickled Pink A sign in the Glenshee Ski Area restaurant in Scotland reads, “We don’t have Internet. Pretend it’s 1995 and talk to each other.” Ticked Off That our MLA continues to talk about building a pipeline, maybe time to quit lobbying for oil and start finding ways to keep Albertans from dying waiting in emergency rooms, something that was campaigned on. I believe it was said that health care could be fixed in 90 days. Ticked Off I thought a municipally supported fitness centre would be better, but unfortunately the classes are terribly leaning toward seniors. Tickled Pink The Tigers won 8-3 and Sparky the Fire Dog likes to use profanity in his word searches. Very entertaining. Tickled Pink Danielle Smith rushed to Mar-a-lago to kiss the ring of Donald Trump, that is if she even saw it. She impressed him so much he invaded Venezuela so he wouldn’t have to buy her oil. Good going. Tickled Pink We have Dr. Parks to speak up about the crisis in our medical system. Sadly it seems to do little good as clearly the UCP isn’t listening in spite of the promises made at election time that they would address the mess in emergency departments. Tickled Pink The “Elbows Up” slogan is just fine, but remember even the great Gordie Howe wore elbow pads. Tickled Pink That my neighbours in Encore brought me Christmas treats for the Christmas season. They were very kind and it warmed my heart. Ticked Off Unlike some virtuous Canadians, I am not scared of Trump. Here’s the reason I haven’t been travelling to the U.S. I’m really scared of the $1.40+ exchange rate. Our failing dollar is a sign of a failing country, sadly. Ticked Off For several days now Costco gas here at $1.159, Costco Lethbridge at $1.069, Brooks at $1.099, Costco Calgary $1.059 to $1.119. Why? Ticked Off Build the south-side rec centre now. It will cost 20 times more in the future. Ticked Off The person who thinks Smith is doing an “awesome job” must have missed Saturday’s headline about the state of emergency in Alberta hospitals. You can say whatever you want, but we can all see with our own eyes what kind of job she is doing. Ticked Off More ice rinks, pools and soccer fields bring tourism and money to this city. Ticked Off Sunny, unseasonably warm days in January. Pretty soon we won’t have winter at all thanks to global warming. We’ll have 30C temperatures all spring and summer long. Wildfires will burn everything and light up our night sky. Gotta love that. Ticked Off That the city isn’t doing anything about the deer ‘herds’ invading the city. Today as students were on the same street, a herd of 10 yearly deer were clustered on a boulevard, nervous for sure. Someone will get ‘charged’ or hurt soon. Someone in the city please get rid of these herds. Tickled Pink I would be if those who don’t get (believe in) vaccinated would have to pay for their medical care. Tickled Pink That the city has pulled out of the south-side aqua centre as I always thought the design/concept presented was too fancy. Last summer I visited the municipal pool in Magrath and thought that might be all we need to provide a nice place to take a dip. There’s nothing stopping someone from building an outdoor pool, perhaps connected with a commercial business. Just an idea. Tickled Pink There are still some real decent people in this world. Tonight, while at work, a gentleman called in to the hospital switchboard wanting to order the staff pizza for their meal. Your kindness and thoughtfulness goes a very long way. Bless your heart. Tickled Pink I love the sarcastic comments about how wonderful Premier Smith is. There are never comments about what she has done because it is hard to come up with anything, but she is great? Ticked Off At the cornhole refs for not calling players out when they step across the line. Also ticked off at my partner for playing like he just realized he has hands at the end of his arms. I need a cigarette after that disaster. Ticked Off At the province for denying access to funds for SafeLink. The UCP is not interested in harm reduction, or any measure that would actually help the homeless. In fact, cruelty to people who use drugs and the homeless seems to be a cornerstone of their belief system. It’s the whole point. 47
