Tickled Pink

So glad I was a paper carrier for the News on the SE Hill, 55 years ago, and had a chance to be part of its legacy! I still have the July 16, 1969 edition, with the banner headline in red “MOON BOUND”.

With the kind ranchers who provide shelter in their fields from the weather elements for their animals.

Tickled Pink

Do not give up, Danielle Smith, my family loves you as our premier.

Tickled Pink

The other day my neighbour gave me his extra serving of chicken cordon bleu – his rendition of the famous dish. And it was dee-lish! I could not have received and devoured that dinner with more gratitude, thank you so very much

Tickled Pink

That every morning I get to wake up next to the prettiest girl I’ve ever seen! Then she spends the whole day with me! This is so great! It’s been going on now for 47-plus years! How did I get so lucky?

May the Reason for the Season fill your stockings with Joy!

The City of Calgary and the Roman Catholic Diocese of Calgary have created a resting place for little soles of any denomination 20 weeks and younger at no charge to the parent(s) “The Loreto Crypt.”

With our Medicine Hat News carriers. The best and most reliable carriers ever. Thank you to everyone who delivers the News. You make our day!

Tickled Pink

With Medicine Hat News allowing only Tickled Pinks until the New Year. I can’t tell you how happy it made me feel reading the column rather than usual Negative Neds and Nellys.

Tickled Pink

Thank you to the City of Medicine Hat for paving the lane between Ewart Crescent and Carry Drive and also installing the blinking crosswalk signs. Much appreciated!

Tickled Pink

Every day I am so happy I can access Medicine Hat News on my iPad. As my eyesight has deteriorated I am able to enlarge each section of a page and easily read. My husband sits across from me and reads his paper edition. So a really heartfelt thank you to the News for this wonderful no-cost privilege. What I really love is reading all the old paper pages and all the short stories on the page besides the main story.

Tickled Pink

The local history columns and photographs are very interesting.

Tickled Pink

My birthday was Dec. 11. TOTP had only Tickled Pink messages that day. What a great start to my birthday! Thank you.

Tickled Pink

That we live in a province where Albertans can recall an MLA when he/she needs to be reminded who they are working for.

Tickled Pink

To courteous drivers I come across during my work day. Thank you, you truly are a great example of saving lives!

Tickled Pink

Be true to yourself and do what makes you happy. Just because something has been done a certain way for decades, doesn’t mean you have to carry that load of obligation.

Tickled Pink

That I have come to the realization in 2025 that I don’t have to!

Tickled Pink

To celebrate the birth of Jesus this Christmas Day. His birth changed the world for the better and saved his people.

Tickled Pink

I think the News should follow suit and maybe for Christmas just publish feel-good stories, no politics or crime, or tragedy. Help people feel positive and happy for once, instead of depressed. (Editor’s note: Sigh.)

Tickled Pink

We are so fortunate to have such a loyal and reliable Medicine Hat News delivery guy in the Sunrise Circle area. No matter what, rain, snow, wind, freezing cold, my paper is in my mail box early every morning. Tyler, you are the best. We all appreciate you.

To be shopping local this Christmas.

Our neighbour Dan is a Snow Angel! He is a busy man but whenever time permits, he is out cleaning the snow from many neighbours’ sidewalks with his snow blower. Big thanks, Dan!

Tickled Pink

That a recent Canadian financial news segment featured Marcelle cosmetics. We had no idea they are a Canadian company that also manufactures their products in Canada!

Tickled Pink

That the Veiner Centre is having a New Year’s event and dance using Newfoundland time so we don’t have to stay up too late!

Tickled Pink

That I take turns with my neighbours on either side clearing each other’s sidewalks after every snowfall. It’s almost a contest to see who can get out there first!

Tickled Pink

With the seniors in River Ridge Estates and the Christmas decorations they have put on display. Merry Christmas!

Only Tickled Pinks for Christmas

Excellent work so far, readers! Keep it up until 2026!

In keeping with annual tradition, the News is running only Tickled Pink entries through the Holiday Season.

‘Tis the season to be merry, and while the stresses of the world continue, we could all use as much joy and celebration as we can get.

Readers are encouraged to continue to submit thoughtful tickled pink comments to facilitate spreading cheer throughout the season.
