Pretty proud of the 2025 Blue Jays. From last place a year ago, projected to finish in the middle of the standings this year, to World Series game 7 extra innings. Wow.

If kids went back to walking or riding to school. How much would that save? The school up the street is lined with buses. One stops four blocks from the school for kids. Four blocks. You can see the school.

Thank you, city, for street sweeping SE Hill. We have lots of big beautiful trees dropping leaves, and a few neighbours who rake their yard into the middle of the street.

If you ask people : Do you like universal health care, do you want our children to have the best education in the world? The answer would probably be yes. Then we vote for the UCP. How is that working for us?

I thought our government was acting in our best interests. Why is it so hard to come to an agreement with a bunch of university educated teachers? It should not be this difficult.

Maybe Alberta should go to a year round school year. This may help with classroom overcrowding.

The experienced councillors are no strangers to this venue and will be of great support for our city’s newest elected. It was reassuring hearing these voices at the horseshoe Oct. 3.

The only thing necessary for the triumph of bylaw/policy infractors is for abiders to say nothing.

With the kids who were trick-or-treating in the Cottonwood area. They were all so pleasant and polite. Got lots of thank-yous.

That Doug Ford has the guts to stand up to Trump. Thought his ad was fantastic and totally truthful. Trump is just a childish bully with an ego.

It seems the actual voting process wasn’t as unusual as people want to make it to be, but comparing to other municipalities, everyone was quicker than us in getting the results out, many final within hours, so that process definitely needs a tweaking.

So much for the carbon tax being eliminated as the City of Medicine Hat raises natural gas rate 150% starting Nov. 1.

At people who work an hour and get paid for eight. More ticked off at supervisors who enable it.

I am beyond tickled pink to have such an amazing local doctor advocating for public health care in Alberta. His name is Dr. Paul Parks and we all need to help him be heard!

Who doesn’t want universal healthcare? Conservatives. Who doesn’t want to take care of the poor? Conservatives. Who doesn’t want lower insurance rates? Conservatives. What government do we have?

We deserve to know exactly what all the fuss was about regarding HALO and the paramedics.

Let’s admit it. Our provincial government resembles a haystack. Very inept.

How is the News coming with its mayoral election analysis? I am so interested in learning who voted for Clark and why. How does someone get suspended, sue own city, get city to pay lawyer fees, have no discernible platform, get the majority vote? So far the only plausible theory I’ve heard is it was a mass union vote. The three big unions all stood behind her. Which begs the question, what do they know? Or get? (Editor’s note: Hopefully you didn’t get this ‘theory’ from the same person who told you our analysis of the election would include who voted for whom.)

How absurd it is to have an office for Alberta in Abu Dhabi? More taxpayer money down the drain supporting industries that don’t need any help whatsoever.

Who’s going to tell Lukaszuk that his petition question is actually a separation question, and the 450,000 signatures is not a “majority of Albertans,” only 11%.

The News article about fluoridation pointed out how the provincial government would like to interfere in the process in order to implement non scientific rules to restrict existing rules. Truly an authoritarian response. Our government wants to be a dictatorship. Not in our best interests.
