Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Oct. 2, 2025

Ticked Off

Costco promoted Aviva Insurance leaving Alberta. Went to renew our auto insurance with them and there was a 70 per cent increase. Gouging before leaving! MLA’s office has not responded to my telephone message. Ticked off twice.

Tickled Pink

Dear Renter. Thanks for your comments about raising taxes only for landlords. I hope you do realize that your rent will increase because of this. And you are correct, it takes multiple properties for us to make enough profit to be able to provide you with the opportunity to live in a decent place. Regards, your Landlord.

Ticked Off

I read the Ticked Off post about Bylaw 4346.23. I thought there had to be more to it than the poster said, but apparently not. I think that is simply ridiculous. I would like to know if there was a formal complaint as anytime I or anyone I know has contacted bylaw they are told they won’t do anything about it unless someone files a formal complaint, which I think is ludicrous.

Ticked Off

So the financially-strapped provincial government has found all kinds of available money to pay parents to teach their kids, develop a ‘toolkit’ and provide other resources while the strike is on but they have NO money to provide teachers with the necessary classroom resources they need to perform their jobs. This government wants to spend money on a pension plan that cannot sustain itself and a provincial police force that is totally unnecessary. This provincial government is totally useless.

Tickled Pink

Tickled Pink that this will be probably the only comment not commenting on politics. Leaves are changing colours and the days are getting cooler. Relax take in a nice deep breath! We can talk politics some other day

Ticked Off

The UCP can’t handle a teenage boy asking a very valid question in a forum designed exactly for that, but you think they can handle a functional education system? You get what you vote for, and I bet not many teachers vote for them anymore.

Ticked Off

Bruce McAllister’s online apology on X to 17-year-old, Evan Li, isn’t good enough. He should give a direct, in-person apology to the 17-year-old.

Ticked Off

That my neighbours leave their dog in their garage when they leave. Seriously he is driving us crazy because he barks constantly for hours. I have tried to talk to them and they get nasty. I really don’t want to call by law because they get nasty with that also.

Ticked Off

Ticked off at Glen Motz’s recent opinion piece. All he does is complain. I have yet to see Motz do anything substantial for his riding. Hell, his own leader had to parachute into another riding just to get back into the House of Commons. Conservatives are an embarrassment to Canada.

Ticked Off

Why is it that our premier blames Ottawa for absolutely everything that happens in our province that she doesn’t like. No matter what it is it’s Ottawa fault.
