Why does Danielle Smith believe her opinion regarding the culling case of ostriches in BC is appropriate or wanted? Even B.C. Premier Eby doesn’t weigh in on this matter; he trusts the people and scientists to make qualified statements and/or judgments. As her own minister has been quoted as saying, “stay in your own lane.”

Trump is remaking the U.S. into “Fortress America.” Let’s not allow the UCP to turn part of our beautiful nation into “Fortress Alberta.”

I don’t know why the results of the upcoming municipal election can’t be ready on the same day as the election. In the past, provincial election results for Medicine Hat were ready on election day. One election had the results announced by 10 p.m. of election night. (Editor’s note: You might want to look into that whole ‘Province is making everyone hand count ballots now to snuff out voter fraud that didn’t exist’ thing.)

I had the opportunity to see Medicine Hat through the eyes of a visitor from the U.S. last week. He was absolutely amazed at how beautiful Medicine Hat is! Well maintained streets and sidewalks, lush parks and green spaces vibrant flower beds, beautiful tree canopy. A vibrant downtown with colourful murals, the river valley, unique architecture and historic spaces, and first-class experiences dining on patios with friendly servers! Housing, jobs and health care – Medicine Hat is on his list of places to move to!

I know it is over and done with and complaints are not going to change it, but Division Ave S. is a joke. How in the world did that design get final approval? The city cannot allow this type of design to continue in Medicine Hat.

I would be if traffic lights were installed at 28th Street and Dunmore Road. This is the turn to go to the Stampede grounds. People have to wait forever to turn left from 28th, and they block the view of people turning right. Traffic volumes have increased over the last few years.

Even though the five hockey players were not convicted, I hope they realize their behaviour was abominable, and a very poor example for youth coming up in hockey programs.

Wondering what the UCP government’s plans are for the $16 million monthly revenue being skimmed from those who qualify for the federal disability benefit.

Tamara Lich had the free will to walk away from the convoy protest. Instead she decided to stay to cause further harm and distress to the good lawful people and businesses in Ottawa. She is a hero to a select few sheep.

Congratulations to our Medicine Hat’s U13 Sundevils Black who brought home the gold medal at the U13 provincial playoffs in Calgary on July 13.

The five hockey players are completely not guilty. Morally there was a lot of misconduct. The legal system in Canada needs an overhaul.

Why does it take three to five years for the legal system to find people guilty or not in high-profile cases? You could build a city in that time.

Had to laugh at the person who thought all of Ottawa was “held hostage.” Or that horns were being honked day and night for weeks. Both are lies, and if you were an informed person you would know you are spewing falsehoods.

I fully support the local Pride organization’s protest of the parade. Although small, it was great to see a group of dedicated, peaceful people advocating for the LGBTQ+ community in the face of constant opposition and invalidation from a contingent of our city.

Elbows up, tariffs up, layoffs up, bankruptcies up, crime’s up, and soon, time’s up. Mark Carney is doing his best to flush all business down south where he is heavily invested. Canada loses, Carney and Brookfield win.

The last three conservative premiers have been dreadful. Extremists. Alison Redford, Jason Kenney and Danielle Smith. Please give us a normal leader to vote for.

Purchased pizza from Pizza Hut on Maple Avenue on July 26 for the homeless gathered at Veterans Park. The young man working was kind and generous. We need more people like him. Thank you, Pizza Hut, your pizzas were very much appreciated.

President Trump makes a fantastic trade deal for the U.S., this time with the European Union. Meanwhile the utterly useless Mark Carney continues to twiddle his thumbs saying that Trump is impossible to deal with. That lie isn’t working anymore, Mr. Carney.
