Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, July 15, 2025

Ticked Off

That people want to ruin this country by arguing about petty differences. Just imagine to be living in other countries where freedom is gone. This country is great, and I want it to be the envy of the world.

Tickled Pink

If this summer people travelled a little bit to other cities. Maybe then they would learn we don’t have traffic, we don’t have congestion, we don’t have pedestrians and that the cyclists don’t want cute, windy paths. Just wide roads with shoulders and they’re happy. Cheap and simple.

Ticked Off

I guess the 15 km speed limit in my condo parking lot is just a suggestion for the entitled.

Tickled Pink

Thanks to the library for facilitating the CHAT TV farewell event. It was wonderful to give both the team at CHAT TV and the public a chance to reminisce, mourn, and move on. CHAT TV may not be on the air, but it was, is and always will be an important part of our community.

Ticked Off

At the person proud of people booing the prime minister. No wonder this province is going down the drain.

Tickled Pink

That I notice the sale prices and what I’m receiving. Always check the amount you’re getting in the box and you will realize that the sale price is not really a sale at all. So tired of grocery retailers thinking we are dumb. Not only that but anytime fruit goes on sale it’s usually on the last date of freshness and is close to being rotten.

Ticked Off

How much money is the city wasting in legal fees with residents let’s just sit down like grown adults and hash this out.

Tickled Pink

Tickled pink at the great condition of the Riverside bike trails. Thank you city. Thanks for the clean washrooms as well. Well done.

Ticked Off

Crestwood Pool closes on weekends in June and Hill pool did not open till July. Poor planning. Now that Hill pool is finally open, lane swimming time has changed after 60 years of running 12-1 pm and how is it that the pool has to close for 15 minutes to roll up lane ropes which actually takes less than 5 minutes. The pool is totally closed for a half hour mid-afternoon everyday while people bake outside. Close at supper hour if guards need a break. Plus families are turned away during free swimming because the city only provides three guards. Please provide a water fountain for all those kids waiting to get in on a hot day. Shame on the City, kids and families deserve better.

Tickled Pink

The City should allow burning barrels again, then the twice per month sanitation service would work well. Less paper and cardboard to boot.

Ticked Off

It’s extremely frustrating the amount of individuals who don’t move when an emergency vehicle is trying to get somewhere. It’s only getting worse. I’ve been working at the same place for over a decade and I have a lovely view of one of one of the intersections on dunmore road. I witnessed the other day, an ambulance having to stop because someone thought because they had the green light it was okay to go. Only after getting through the intersection they then pulled over after it was too late.

Ticked Off

Ok, maybe I’m wrong however I think the world including us should not deal with the U.S. dictatorship. It wouldn’t take long for the people to get rid of their dictator and try to get the world back on track. No one can deal with a bully who thinks he’s right until he’s wrong. The U.S. should be ignored for now. Sure it might hurt us all for a time but it can only get worse his way. Common sense should prevail.

Ticked Off

Danielle Smith created the Alberta Sheriffs Branch. Why wasn’t it called the Alberta Sheriffs Service? It makes a much better acronym. More in line with what it will accomplish.

Tickled Pink

When people are going through health problems please be kind and listen until they are done. The world does not revolve around you and you don’t have to always be the centre of attention. Maybe that is why you are losing friends.

Ticked Off

At these so called new bike paths. The one along South Railway dodges between posts and parked cars and cross streets and driveways. Cyclists like straight and smooth. The shoes have cleats that aren’t meant for dismounting every block to walk a cross walk. Division Avenue is just as bad, these aren’t for cyclists. They are amusements for little kids and grandpas piddling along at walking pace on South Railway. I can hold a steady 45 km/hr and I can’t come close to that on that abomination of a trail.

Tickled Pink

People Complaining about how the worlds gone cold, did ya’ll not see the damn internet arrive? Pure unfettered emotion is all that drives man these days. We’re like lottery winners to be alive to witness such a thing. The old world of decency and civility’s gone, brother man. Least we can do is enjoy the new one.

Ticked Off

Ticked off that Minesota and Wisconsin have the unmitigated gall to complain about smoke from Canadian wildfires crossing into U.S. territory. It isn’t a whole lot of fun for our citizens that have had to evacuate on short notice and return to find their homes and businesses destroyed. The U.S. folks need to grow up.

Ticked Off

I doubt if people outside of Alberta could name our premier let alone know what she has done here. Do you know the name of Manitoba’s premier or his actions? Smith is definitely unpopular and deserving so.

Ticked Off

At The TOTP person who doesn’t water their lawn so they have money for food. Ha! You’re just making excuses for being lazy. Do you know how little it actually costs to water your lawn? In a month it will be $5-10.

Ticked Off

Why so many people have to be so negative. Encourage each other, say good things we need to hear to help us who are going through difficult times. If not, please keep quiet.

Ticked Off

Alberta Government, “let’s do a survey asking parents if we should ban books from school libraries.”

Alberta parents,” Nope,we don’t want that.”

Alberta Government, “Ok,we’re going to go ahead and ban those books.”

Ticked Off

If you can’t figure out how to get from A to B riding a bike without going into traffic, maybe you should park it. Stay off the main drags, yes they are busy streets. Didn’t anyone ever tell you not to play in traffic?

Ticked Off

Taxpayers wonder why we have regulations until you read a one-year-old dies in hot car while mom gets lip filler at spa. Either people are stupid or just arrogant.

Tickled Pink

To the typical complainer about Hill pool, it is a free swim and there are patron capacities. Rather than being sooooo negative, look at the bright side. The pool is open, it’s beautiful and the line doesn’t take that long. Grab a cold drink and wait your turn. Don’t let a silly thing like a line up ruin your day. Enjoy your summer :).

Ticked Off

It’s 1:30 am Saturday and it sounds like the Indy 500 don’t you know there is a noise bylaw some of us do have to get to go to work have a little consideration

Ticked Off

I am surprised that the Alberta education minister didn’t check with Florida about the list of banned books by the far right State government. The Calgary and Edmonton school libraries would be half empty.

Ticked Off

It is unconscionable that our UCP can boast billions of dollar surplus yet take money away from AISH recipients. How can any caring person vote for such a heartless political party?
