Attacks on military bases show how dangerous living conditions can be for the soldiers and their families working and living in fear overseas. Let’s hope and pray they will find support to get the families out to safety. Keeping the families free from harm is a constant struggle, keep them in your prayers.

Since CHAT-TV closed, I hardly turn on my TV, the local station was what I watched. I guess I can save some money and quit Shaw. I don’t need it.

That there are privileged dog owners who still walk their dogs unleashed on the Ross Glen pathways. Then they wonder why they have the reputation they do.

We need to be mindful as a community. We do not have a particularly strong administration or council, and it would be ludicrous to push the MCC through before the election.

So far I am OK with PM Carney, and so happy Trudeau is gone. Now if only the conservatives would move a bit more to the centre and have a more personable party leader, I could vote conservative again.

That someone thinks the mayor was vindicated, when in fact her conviction was upheld by the court of appeal, only her sentence was reduced. This is hardly vindication. Should taxpayers pay the legal costs of the guilty in all cases? By the way, she is not the boss of council, but is supposed to be the leader, a task at which she has failed.

All the people now complaining about paying for COVID vaccinations. Nobody seems to mention the reason for this. Millions of vaccines were wasted due to low interest. Now that you have to pay, everyone is complaining. I am by no means a ‘Un Caring Party’ (UCP) supporter, but how do you think we got those expensive vaccines in the first place? They weren’t free. You need to pick your battles.

The girl at the emergency department was so very helpful in getting me to the dentist rather than wait in line for many hours. Very much appreciated, and I hope she is recognized for her good work ethic.

The Yuill family has definitely made a huge difference to Medicine Hat, and we are so grateful to them and their foundation for this. May God bless you! And may the citizens of Medicine Hat flood the newspaper with their thanks to this family, too! I am a senior who has also had to travel out of town for a pacemaker. Thank you!

Can we rename Ticked off Tickled Pink to the “People Making Political Straw Men on Topics They Clearly Don’t Understand” section? I’m sick of reading comments I’ve heard a million times that lack any sort of substance.

You know what’s a pet peeve of mine? When people submit a Tickled Pink that obviously is supposed to be a Ticked Off. I understand some of you only feel misery/anger and want to spread that to others. But please at least submit your stuff correctly so I don’t get my hopes up for something cheerful.

Our fearless Alberta leader is trying to ruin our province. She needs to work with the other provinces to make Canada stronger.

Thank you to all the citizens who turned out to speak up about the concerns of the MCC. This needs to be delayed until after the election. We need a competent team around the horseshoe.

Very impressed with the gallery of speakers against creating a new municipally controlled entity for city-owned utilities. Solid feedback for sure, including that of Redcliff’s mayor. Got to the points of contention.

Our premier has a lot of friends who need jobs on provincial panels. Even though one just went through the province a couple of years ago, she needs more info. Put me on a panel. I can accept money for nothing as well as anyone. What a waste of money that we work hard for and she just throws away.

If the separatists would give us a number for how much it would cost to separate. I don’t think they know, but it sounds really good to yell and it’s easy to do. And they’re dreaming if they think they’ll get 70% of Canada’s CPP.

There seems to be lots of money for Albertans to scratch their bellies over an Alberta Pension Plan, an Alberta Police Force (and now a way to collect income tax), but none to fund seniors’ eye exams all in one day or COVID shots? MLAs, picture yourselves a few decades on, is this the kind of treatment you want?

So, we have to spend 5% of our GDP just to appease Donald Trump? Let me guess, Canada and the majority of the planet will be forced to purchase munitions from U.S. companies like Lockheed Martin, Boeing, Northrop Grumman, etc. Why do we all need more weapons if the Donald is bringing peace to the planet? Could it be greed?
