My stocks are all Canadian and seven are in the oil and gas industry and have operations in Alberta. They have all increased in value and have all recently increased their dividend, averaging 4%. I am happy. Why does UCP insist we are hard done by? UCP is the problem.

Thank you for publishing this forum. It may seem frivolous and ridiculous at times, I imagine, but it holds value where verbal diarrhea is somewhat allowed.

A great big thank you to Darrell and Brent Maser. They are probably the only owners of a sports team who don’t jack up their prices for the playoffs. They keep the ticket prices the same for the playoffs as they were for the regular season. Keeps it very affordable for all, especially for young families. Let’s pack the joint folks. GO TIGERS GO!

No matter where you are on the political spectrum (conservative here), I can’t help but like listening to Mark Carney, especially off the heels of Trudeau. Still wish he wasn’t our PM but at least I don’t feel stupider after listening to him speak.

The old-time city planners had it right. Look at First Avenue, or Third or 12th streets NW, or the old Division Avenue. Nice wide roads with shoulders for bicycles. Now look at new planners. Carry Drive. Prospect Drive. The New Division Avenue. No shoulders. Big concrete curb. Hard edge. We are getting less friendly to bicycles instead of more.

With the way council treats city staff. You have a few who are outwardly disrespectful to staff who come before council, and then the rest stay quiet and don’t say a thing. This council needs to remember all city staff get a vote in the fall.

At those who imagine extreme love of God for us by giving his only begotten son to save our souls. God was also willing to kill all but a handful of people and a few animals on the ark to prove his extreme love. Oh, I just bet love was felt that day.

That the UCP continue to say the CPP is “Alberta’s” money and they should get their hands on it. It’s not Alberta’s money, it’s my money, it’s your money. Leave it alone.

Anyone can complain and put other people down. It takes a much more intelligent person to work for positive change in all/any worthwhile endeavour. All Canadian dissidents take note, you’re revealing where and who you really are.

If the RCMP in Redcliff could patrol the school zones during drop-off and pickup times. Then you could ticket all the ignorant drivers who park within five metres of a marked crosswalk (with some even parking across them).

I am very disappointed that the article about Danielle Smith’s address this week began with the most controversial points. She emphasized her willingness to collaborate with the prime minister and outlined what Alberta needs to succeed. Yet, the article once again portrays people as being on two opposing sides. I don’t understand why anyone would not want Alberta to be successful.

The trail system needs more signage to inform people to pick up their dog’s waste. Is it just laziness, or they just don’t care? It’s irresponsible dog ownership, it’s bad for the environment and it also causes disease.

With Danielle Smith. She says people who want to separate from Canada are “not fringe.” Yes they are. So is she. She continues to show her true colours, why can’t everyone see them? She’s traitorous and manipulative, always pandering to her base.

I am neither TO nor TP, rather I am confused. I asked a well educated and well informed senior, who is adamantly against Western separation, the benefits of remaining in Canada. I did not get one concrete and fact founded answer. Everyone’s opinion should be respected, but only if that opinion is based on facts – historical, financial and political. Please do your homework before you choose an option.

Danielle Smith is undermining the Canadian identity of all Albertans with her talk of separation, and she should be ashamed of herself. She is a horrible premier and her actions are despicable.

Stop TOTP because comments don’t sit well? I’m glad reasonable people in news afford diverse views, opinions and experiences that are not singular but representative of an entire readership. We all know what happened to Neanderthals when they stopped evolving.

I wish people submitting to TOTP would give reasons when they say things like “liberals are ruining Canada” without any substantiation. Because you know, all of Canada’s problems can be traced back to Harper’s government.

Part of Smith’s strategy to get us to separate is to continue the mantra that Alberta is getting a bad deal from Ottawa. I don’t believe her. Our standard of living, etc., is as good as ever, and not because of her.

Smith is the most depressing premier we have ever had. Her constant whining about Liberals, attacks on the RCMP and CPP makes you wonder whether she wants a better place or worse. She is the worst.

Totally amazed that my sewer bill is $30 higher than my water bill. How can that be? Costs me more to get rid of what is coming in.
