Ticked Off It is unfortunate to hear Hill Home Hardware will be closing. It will be missed. Ticked Off Donald Trump is close to becoming the dictator he craves to be. He has cowed legal firms, CBS, newspapers and the FBI, who has arrested a judge without a warrant. Soon the legal system will be under his control. Ticked Off I’m deeply ashamed of all those who voted for Glen Motz. He’s done absolutely nothing positive for this riding. Ticked Off Really question the person who had a lab appointment but still waited 90 minutes blaming UCP. Recently, I’ve been there every week and never had to wait more than 10-15 minutes when busiest. And that includes walk-ins. Ticked Off Regarding recent negative comments about Bylaw. I have called bylaw myself many times and they have always responded, much to the chagrin of the flouters. My experience has been very positive. As most bylaws are complaint driven, they rely on concerned citizens to call in the infractions, at which time bylaw officers are dispatched. Ticked Off At the federal government that got in again. I guess they will hire more voters so they can always get in. Tickled Pink That Donald Trump and MAGA killed the federal Conservatives’ chance to form government and handed the Liberals the rarely seen Canadian patriotism card to win re-election. Tickled Pink With the A+ report card attached to our yard waste bin by the collection crew this morning. Really appreciate the positive reinforcement saying that we got an A+ on cart placement and contents. Ticked Off That not all of my comments about bylaw officers were published. Who are you trying to protect? Tickled Pink The leader of the Federal NDP lost his seat and is now stepping down. Should have happened sooner but he wanted his lavish pension. Ticked Off To see Pierre Poilievre, after 20 years, be rebuked by his own constituents in Carleton for just the exact tired same old, same old, he so vocally condemned his opposition for. Lets see how graciously he’ll step aside. Ticked Off Results were close, but I’m curious if Poilievre won, would news coverage still say his victory was due to Trump, too? Canadian voters elected MPs and a PM accountable to all Canadians. So, if we’re under threat, don’t we want our best soldiers, regardless of party colours, united, fighting for us all? Tickled Pink A huge shout-out to the Medicine Hat Fire Department. Thank you! Ticked Off Premier Smith’s first reaction to Carney’s win is to warn him about “hostile acts” against Alberta. What would those be? Playing the “Poor Alberta” card seems pretty pathetic. We shouldn’t be claiming the federal government is our enemy. Tickled Pink Congrats to Motz for winning our riding. I could write a book, or maybe a paragraph of his accomplishments. Maybe a sentence, or a word. Ticked Off The problem with TOTP is the editors do not just edit, they censor submissions. If they do not agree with them, they do not appear. Shame on you. You probably support Trump and he is an a**hole. Print this. Ticked Off If Alberta and Saskatchewan would start the process of becoming a independent state before this Liberal government completely destroys Alberta and Saskatchewan. The same people are back in just a different head. Nothing will change it will only get worse. I will be totally surprised if this leftist paper will print this. Ticked Off That ex-MP LaVar Payne has the audacity to stir his and his ilk’s selfish agenda rhetoric for Alberta separation, And why would the News pander to such a story the day after a fair and democratic federal election that is the envy of the world? That’s going pretty low. Tickled Pink Hats off to the women at DYL! These women are amazing through and through; from their professionalism, humour and good nature, right down to their empathetic nature when raising funds for the women’s shelter. This is the reason why I shop locally; continue being fabulous. Ticked Off The media spends too much time covering LaVar Payne. He just spouts a lot of nonsense. Please go away, you are actually a pain. Tickled Pink I hope the residents of Danielle Smith’s riding do a recall on her with the new rules. But that’s OK, because when she’s voted out, she’ll move to Trump’s house in Florida. Ticked Off Our province seems to be pro pollution. What is wrong with capping emissions and setting other rules to cut pollution? Tickled Pink “Smith congratulates, and warns, Carney.” Hopefully PM Carney will listen to Smith a lot more than Smith listens to Albertans. Tickled Pink For the person who wants to get a job like Danielle Smith, it won’t be easy. First you have to be intelligent and well spoken. Then you have to spend every waking hour actually disseminating factual information. Then using that information to make hard and unpopular decisions for the betterment of the province as a whole. Ticked Off Why does all gas in Alberta contain ethanol? According to Petro Canada it is “required by federal and provincial regulations.” But why? We have gas, why are we butchering it with ethanol? Tickled Pink I’ve finally learned “yogurt” is American (bluch) and “yoghurt” is Canadian. But is it “kronut” or “cronut,” the croissant pastry baked in a waffle machine and topped like a doughnut. After all, the bakery is called Kookie Bites. Ticked Off What part of equalization do Albertans not understand? Of course we are not going to get back more than we give. They are equalization payments. Ticked Off People need to understand that the housing crisis cannot be solved without house prices (even yours, yes yours) going down. Houses cannot simultaneously be affordable and lucrative investment vehicles. People buying multiple houses to invest in, flip them, or rent them out, are directly contributing to the housing crisis in this country. Greedy landlords and predatory companies are the problem. Ticked Off If you only approve of democracy when your team wins, maybe it’s not for you and you’d prefer something a bit more fascist? Tickled Pink To hear Scott Moe congratulating our new PM. For showing willingness to start fresh, compromise and work toward improving the relationship between Saskatchewan and Ottawa. Compared to the Alberta premier’s continued nasty rhetoric, demands, threats and divisiveness. It’s getting quite tiresome. It’s time she puts aside her personal agenda for the good of our province and country. Ticked Off An Australian network said it best, Canada has opened the door and let the devil walk right in. 63
