What a wake-up call for Canada. We have relied on the U.S. for so long, we find ourselves in a position of having to fight back and it’s gonna hurt to build us back up. The orange-haired ogre has actually given us a chance to become self-reliant. These people who want to join the U.S. should just move there. We have what we need to survive here, but we need to work together. Let’s go, Canada!

What a stupid comment about a Cybertruck driving fast. I live in a school zone and see all the vehicles speeding through day after day. I think you have an Elon problem. Like you never sped in your life.

The City of Medicine Hat should invest time into auditing the various departments and eliminate the waste and redundancy costing taxpayers the annual “fleecing” of our pocketbooks.

At two national leaders. They are taking their children on the campaign trail day in and out and pushing them to the front for photo ops. That in itself is wrong, but it shows a mindset that they will do anything including risking their physical and mental health to get elected. I worry that they will lie and use whatever half truths they want to.

At people who always vote for the same party regardless. Look who the States got because of it. Before voting, ask yourself what has that person who wants to be re-elected done for your area during office? New manufacturing here? Did our city see growth?

I am so proud to be a Canadian. But, truly ashamed to be an Albertan due to our corrupt and useless UCP party. Too bad we couldn’t have a provincial election also. Our fearless leader needs to be replaced.

Rather than trying to tax our way to a cleaner environment, I’d be tickled if we could use a reward system instead. For example, if you use less than 500 kwh of electricity in a month, you get a $50 rebate on your utility bill.

The financials at city hall need someone who actually knows what a budget is running the show. Telling when a tax increase isn’t sufficient and you need to dip into reserves for a measly $520K. Good grief, are you kidding?

The Commonwealth of Alberta would have more land, a larger GDP, a larger population, more farmland and a higher GDP per capita than, respectively, 79%, 80%, 33%, 91% and 97% of all nations. It would be one of the most prosperous and free nations on Earth.

If all you oil and gas nay sayers would explain who is going to pay for the health care and education that you all think is the only thing that matters. The oil and gas industry has not only kept Alberta strong, but Canada as well. Thank you, Danielle Smith, for all your hard work to keep Alberta and Canada strong.

I agree we need to “enhance (rural health) care and strengthen our communities.” However, where is the investment to obtain the health-care professionals desperately required to staff our existing facilities, let alone new ones?

It is wonderful to see how Danielle Smith’s interference is leading to a downfall in support for Pierre Poilievre and the CPC across Canada. One Trump is more than enough.

I would like to know how Trudeau ruined the oil and gas industry in Alberta. Didn’t he buy and have the pipeline to the Pacific finished? Aren’t oil production figures higher now than they were when Harper was in power? Yes, they are. What is the beef?

If Canadians would, instead of booing the anthem, remain absolutely quiet in a moment of silent regret at the loss of a partner, an ally and a friend. Express your grief in a new and quiet way. Think about how un-nerving that would be.

I would be if authorities would soon designate a Canadian international airport for Justin Trudeau to complement Pierre Trudeau International Airport in Montreal.
