If LaVar Payne and his ‘cronies’ think they’d be better off as an American, I have just two words, leave now. Greed at its worst.

If you’re having a hard time in Canada and want to be part of the U.S. because you think it will be better, move to the U.S. Try your luck there. But do not assume for a second the rest of us want to join you. We are Canadians and will remain here in our country.

If former MPs who are promoting independence or a union of some kind with the U.S. would forfeit the gold-plated pensions they receive from Canadian taxpayers.

At a former elected official who did very little while in office now trying to stay relevant by babbling about some form of union with the U.S. Guess he had to wait to be out of office before embarking on this treasonous idea. You like the U.S. so much? Move and take your like-minded ilk with you.

It is the duty of all eligible voters to exercise their right to vote. The excuses I hear from people as to why they are not voting leaves me gobsmacked. We are lucky and privileged to live in a democratic country. Let’s make this the highest voter turnout election ever!

Ease up on our premier, all you hypocrites. She is just taking your newfound love of nationalism and centralizing it a bit to our provincial boundaries. We actually like to work and keep our money in this province so, to quote you, “If you don’t like it, leave.”

That as a proud Canadian living in Alberta that our province is considering independence and/or statehood. Really? Is that what Albertans want?

Come on, Medicine Hat, support Danielle Smith. She is trying to bring back our oil and gas industry, which has been a disaster for the last 10 years.

Daniel Smith is a lobbyist for oil and gas, a separatist and has disdain for Ottawa. That’s it, that’s all she has to offer Alberta.

That thanks to our provincial government it is cheaper for B.C. wineries to sell their product to the U.S., even with the tariffs, than it is to sell in Alberta. More taxation is not what is needed between provinces.

To hear conservative Doug Ford is working together with our new Liberal prime minister against U.S. tariffs, and ticked off that our premier is licking the boots of far-right Americans.

I am proud to be a first-generation Canadian. My parents didn’t come to this country so my descendants would be sold out to the U.S. Our premier is a disgrace. Team Canada. What does she not understand?

We have had good conservative governments but the recent ones just want to sellout to the U.S. We should rid ourselves of our current corrupt government. How have they made things better?

I would encourage readers to listen to Danielle Smith’s March 26 speech in front of the Alberta Legislature. I couldn’t be prouder that she is the premier of our great province.

Just sad for our goalie Harrison Meneghin who recently lost his dad. I brought it up at our prayer group at our church and we all prayed for him and his family.

Just a big shout-out to our street sweepers who are working diligently to get our streets clean and working all night in some cases. It’s already improved by a lot.

Good grief, people, you can get to anywhere from somewhere in about 15 minutes in this city. It’s not like you live in Calgary where it takes 45 minutes to get from the south end to the airport at near highway speeds.

How conniving of the Alberta Government to raise education taxes at this time when teachers are negotiating a contract, and to promote their goal of privatizing education.

At the Lethbridge Hurricane fans’ comments. We have been to a few Tigers games in Lethbridge. If you looked up the definition of “sore losers” there would be a photo of the fans of the Lethbridge Hurricanes. Go Tigers Go!

I completely agree with Ben Moffat’s letter to the editor about D. Smith and the UCP’s ineffectual government. Why we blindly keep electing this party is a mystery. They are not really conservatives, they are some other crazy ideology.

I and my large number of friends and acquaintances all support our premier and her actual efforts to physically do something rather than just posturing and virtue signaling. I don’t know where she gets the energy to keep going. And why is everyone you don’t agree with labelled far or extreme right these days? Cheapens the label.

The guy and his dog on Southridge Drive are adorable! They go for walks and take with them a wagon with a little umbrella attached to it. The dog just meanders along, and when he gets too tired he goes in the wagon. It makes my day when I see them! (Editor’s note: Pretty much made my day just to read it.)

It mystifies me how anyone is up in arms with our premier appearing on “right wing” media in the U.S. Isn’t the UCP right wing? Doesn’t she do appearances on our Canadian “left wing” media? Should left-wing media have a monopoly on news?
