Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Oct. 31, 2024

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on October 31, 2024.

Ticked Off

Axe the Tax: What has Pierre Poilievre have in mind to replace it? It’s obvious he does not believe in climate change.

Tickled Pink

With the War Amps’ Key Tag program – not only does it benefit those in need, but using that key tag works!

Ticked Off

At the marketing push to get people to buy whole body deodorants and the body shaming TV commercials to instill fear where there is no need to fear.

Tickled Pink

If Alberta would call an election, too. Smith needs to go. Splitting up AHS means more dollars spent on administration of the new areas instead of hiring more nurses, therapists, doctors. Not to mention the web development, advertising, etc. Just ridiculous.

Tickled Pink

When they redo Division Avenue the city can use the sea-cans to store the bricks.

Ticked Off

The people complaining about excessive dog barking etc. – did you call Bylaw? I often report bylaw infractions and even had a neighbour throw a hissy fit, complete with blasphemy, when I was simply writing down a licence plate number, but did not let her deter me. Most bylaws are complaint driven. If you do nothing then nothing changes.

Ticked Off

It’s time for City Hall to be honest and open to the tax payers. Give the mayor what she is entitled to. What are you hiding?

Tickled Pink

I can’t wait for Division Avenue to open up. It’ll be my entertainment for the winter. And then we can watch them tear up and redo the roads in a couple years. Past practice prevails – if it’s not done twice, it’s not done right.

Ticked Off

When a city usually redesigns a main road, they do it to also take into consideration the traffic flow that also keeps traffic moving. Not here. Slow down traffic? It’s already at a stand still. What about emergency vehicles and snow plows? Division Avenue will be another failure by municipal works at the cost of taxpayers.

Ticked Off

At how hard it is to get into the MY96 Cash Clock. My brother has tried to get in almost every single day for the past two weeks, and no matter how early he calls, there is always a busy signal. Why do people call so far in advance? Let some people have a chance.

Ticked Off

At the idiot who thought it would be OK to use a “pump action rifle” to put a wounded deer out of its misery downtown. I’m an avid hunter, but I don’t think anyone wants to see citizens walking around in the downtown area with loaded rifles. Use some common sense and call Fish and Wildlife, or the police if you see this.

Ticked Off

Enough complaining about Daylight Saving Time. No one has a problem changing time when they travel out of province, but every spring and fall it’s the end of the world for people.

Ticked Off

With Superstore’s unpainted parking lines. People park all over the place. Every other lot has repainted lines. I will go there.

Ticked Off

Weird new Bill by UCP to allow people to refuse medical treatment. We already have that right, have had it for decades. This part of the bill does literally nothing.

Ticked Off

Any political party that wants to rewrite the Bill of Rights so the government can “place limits on rights, if it has a good reason for doing so,” is not a party I want in power. This is a huge overstep by the UCP.

Tickled Pink

That the sea-cans are leaving – great investment to draw people to the downtown!

Tickled Pink

Amused at these facilities in the U.S. that burn railway ties and call it green energy. Well, that was until I found out they wanna build a similar facility in Bow Island, one of Canada’s cleanest communities. Who is steering this ship?

Tickled Pink

At all the overgrown man-children complaining that Division Avenue is now “impractical.” Maybe your giant lifted truck that you drive over the speed limit is what’s impractical here.

Tickled Pink

At the person who “researched Take Back Alberta” and thinks the “woke left” needs to wake up. You can use free speech to spew as much garbage as you like, about how everything that makes you mad is “woke,” and everyone else is free to laugh in your face. Isn’t it cool how free speech works both ways? Deal with it.

Ticked Off

It looks like the Alberta government is giving itself more rights than we will have.

Ticked Off

That media hasn’t shown the price difference between Alberta home heating and oil heating systems per month/year. It’s called communication to voters.

Tickled Pink

With a city employee named Aaron. He is polite and demonstrates respect. I hope others follow his example.

Ticked Off

“Hi Dad. I’ve got a broken nose,” said the voice on the phone. The latest scam in the Hat. Be careful, everyone.

Ticked Off

Why can’t we sell the sea-cans to bidders with the understanding they have to remove them within a short time period?

Ticked Off

At the person who wrote about the city’s business case to purchase Saamis Solar. Do you even read the words you’re writing? “The unreliable nature of solar and wind.” You know the sun is pretty reliable, right? You know we live in the sunniest city in Canada, right? Solar and wind are way more reliable than non-renewable resources. Emphasis on non-renewable.
