Ticked Off Cyclists need to obey traffic control signs. Stop means stop, not keep cycling and run into traffic. If you miss the stop sign and my poor little car hits you, you will never forget the day you ran the stop sign. Please, please, please, pay attention to the traffic regulations, they are for all vehicles under Alberta jurisdiction… that includes bicycles. Ticked Off That people are comparing the Calgary water main break to the Altawana Drive project. You seriously can’t tell the difference between an emergency spot repair and the pre-planned replacement of 100m of water pipe? The two situations are completely different. The Altawana project was planned to take this long and last I heard it was still on schedule. Complaining and making a stink just because you don’t understand construction is not helping anything. A warm thank you of a special memory, to the teacher and lady, who showed me how to make a recipe box. Ticked Off That all I see of the graduating classes of 2024 is one school on tv, what happened to the other ones? I will say congratulations to all graduates of 2024 of the other schools and all the best in your future endeavours. Ticked Off At the Neighbourhood cats that come into my backyard without their owner in N.E. Crescent Heights. It’s really frustrating cleaning up after a pet that is not mine. Not to mention chasing the birds away. Need to keep your cat on a leash. Tickled Pink I am Tickled Pink with the new paving in the city and how fast the paving was done on the main roads. The paving crew is very organized. I love nice new pavement to drive on. They even nicely leveled up some of the divots in the manhole areas! Those manholes are placed right where your tires need to drive. Ticked Off Health care finding is the responsibility of the province and our city should not be using our city tax dollars to fund a helicopter ambulance that services rural areas outside the city and even several hours away. Not to mention there is no financial oversight or accountability as to where that money is actually going. Ticked Off It seems Danielle Smith’s solution to solve the problems in our health care system is to create even more bureaucracy. I am sure things could be changed and streamlined so more funds could go to providers and not pencil pushers. Ticked Off The Conservatives plans to shut down supervised drug consumption sites are disgusting. They seem to have this “us and them” mentality, that all drug addicts are dangerous criminals that deserve jail time, or even death, and that all of us “normal” people need to be protected against them. Its fearmongering, plain and simple. We aren’t going to solve the opioid epidemic by throwing all addicts in prison, or letting them die in the streets. 25-24
