Bravo to a recent columnist for strongly encouraging residents to wear masks. Mask wearing when outside one’s home should be automatic like fastening seatbelts when getting into a car.

Masks have been proven not to work. They are a giant petry dish and makes it spread quicker. Show us the data that shows masks work? The medical community says they don’t. Dentists say they are harming people’s gums. Ask any dry waller who has to use them. They will say the same.

Why don’t the waitresses and waiters have to wear masks in restaurants? They should if we have to. They are serving the food and touching everything.

I can hardly wait to eat my takeout meal with a paper fork and knife along with my paper straw for my drink after the federal government gets rid of single use plastic.

At these so call anti-maskers. I am all for your rights but it seems like no matter what work around they are given (i.e. a face shield instead of a face mask or even doing services online), they are all sour about it. Look if you don’t want to wear any facial gear, fine! These are the people that should go on the registry for private health care when it comes in; why should tax payers pay for you or your family if you get sick . . . wait, that doesn’t should fair to you? Then stop your whining.

Ticked off that anyone would think the cleanliness of a prison takes priority over a senior home in this civil pandemic. Seniors are helpless in their surroundings and prisoners are there by their choice. Let’s us hope that the government will finally step up and protect the vulnerable.

Stores requiring masks violate no rights. A store is not public property, it’s private that’s open to the public provided they follow the owners rules. Quit crying like a baby, wear a mask, or shop elsewhere.

Thanks to the gentleman who shovelled the snow bank away at the trail head on Hill Road that the city grader piled up.

The new thinking. Everyone gets what they want, money grows on trees, no one has to pay for anything, make the government bigger because they are way more efficient. This is the NDP way.

When Notley was here in Medicine Hat one of her suggestions was that the government should have hired more people. This being the time when the hospital staff had next to nothing to do because of so many empty beds. This is the NDP solution.

With the city crews road sanding and clearing during our recent snow fall. Some people think it should be instant and perfect, but that’s not possible.

Lived here since 1999 and have always been told we do our own thing, we are different here. Well we sure are. While the rest of the world is attempting to avoid COVID any way they can, here we are with not even a mask bylaw. Don’t infringe on my rights, I am entitled to my privacy, well you will have all the privacy needed once the funeral is over. Protect yourself and others. Wear a mask.
