Dear editor, Though I haven’t lived in Medicine Hat for years as my job took me to many other locations in the province, I have always enjoyed keeping up with what is going on in the city. Before the days of the internet I would have copies of the paper mailed to me. With the News being online, I am able to keep up with what is happening in the city. I would like for you to know how much I appreciate that. The News is so well written and covers more than just local matters. This morning when I was reading the News and Tickled Pink, I saw several comments from former carriers. Having read those I couldn’t resist adding my positive comment about having been a carrier. It was many years ago, like 1975. There was a contest that year and in March I was chosen as the best carrier in the city. I still have a copy of the paper where my picture was posted on the entire back page. Even though it has a hole worn through, the bottom of the News bag I am wearing in the picture became very precious to me. I still have that very bag today. It is tucked away in a very safe place and gives me many good memories when I pull it out and look at it. Robert Herringer and Bob Posick were the circulation managers at the time. I hope my ramblings haven’t gone on for too long but I wanted to share with you that being a News carrier was a good experience for me and one that left me so many good memories as well as helped me so much in general. Please continue your work and the great publication you have. Maxwell Moritz Leduc 14
