Letter: Bravo, Mark Carney, for working to expand Canadian exports

Dear editor, I wish to congratulate the Carney government for their efforts to expand our export business. It may have hurt Ontario a little but has helped the farmers, pulp industry and the fishing industry. We are one country and we should be willing to help everyone. Hopefully more help will come for the auto industry. Donald Trump is a disgusting human being and does not care one iota about anything except himself. He is laughed at by every other foreign leader. We cannot trust anything he says or does. We and the rest of the world must stand and say enough is enough. Harry Noel Medicine Hat 8-7
Good letter, Harry. Carney is walking a tightrope both domestically and internationally balancing and promoting trade and diplomacy. Unfortunately, Donald Trump represents the now ugly elephant that Canada sleeps with.
Great comments guys. The true conservatives in my world consider him to be a lot like our hero Peter Lougheed he cares about the wellbeing of all Canadians and not just their rich friends like the Reformers do.
Smith and Poilievre are idiots with their only solution to any problem is blame it on someone else, that’s how stupid they are, aren’t they. Yet who do we see lining up to sign the petition to separate from Canada mindless seniors trying to put us all in financial ruin and needing help from the Food Banks, believing the lies that we will be a lot better off, like these Reform Party idiots claim.
Hope you enjoy it because China is about to own Canada. You might not think that it was such a good idea then. Oh to have a leader like President Trump. He’s decisive and is not a coward like Carney. Way too many people in Canada have a bad case of Trump Derangement syndrome. That’s caused by watching fake news which is all you get in Canada and believing it HOOK LINE AND SINKER
So let’s get this straight. In typical Reform Party Fashion while you criticize Mark Carney and praise this fool Donald Trump, just like Smith and Poilievre do, showing no concern for the jobs he has destroyed for Canadians, our farmers and former conservative family members have nothing but praise for what Carney is trying to do for Canadians, like our hero Peter Lougheed did for Albertans, right?
Would you be able to prove your lies in court, if you are asked to do so, would you like to try?
I wonder why people are calling you just another brainwashed senile senior not capable of doing any intelligent thinking, for himself, believing every lie these Reformers feed him? Showing our children and grandchildren no respect for what these Reformers have done to their financial future?
With comments like benevolent has provide it isn’t hard to understand why young Albertans have become so disgusted with the senior members of their families believing every lie these Reformers feed them that they have started banning them from attending their family gatherings, like they did at Christmas time and at recent birthdays its become that bad.
They know the disaster they must face because of these Reformers and unlike these seniors aren’t willing to just ignore it. Like me they can’t see any way out of the financial mess they have created, can you?
Donald Trump is only making things worse, worldwide. Give your head a shake.
As an 82 year old senior I continue to be criticized for calling my fellow seniors stupid, yet who do we see signing the petitions to separate us from Canada, stupid seniors.
Totally ignorant of what they are voting themselves into and the financial disaster it create for their children that’s how stupid they are isn’t it?
Lawyers have told me that you can call 1,000 seniors stupid and the only ones you will offend are the stupid ones, the rest know that you don’t mean them and they know exactly who you do mean, Alberta has a lot of them, and they continue to prove it, don’t they?
I have seen photos of those waiting in line to sign the separation petition. Many of them appear to be seniors, but not all of them are. Regardless, they are clueless.
Apparently some seniors attended these gatherings to see what was going on and to try to convince some of their fellow seniors to change their minds and all they got was stupid seniors believing the lies like usual.
No they aren’t all seniors but I bet they are in the 70% range like people who were there are saying, don’t you?
The ones in Stony Stony plain looked more like the normal 80 to 85 percent range like we have seen in the past .
I would agree with you. Actual Conservatives do not support Alberta separation. Peter Lougheed certainly didn’t. He didn’t approve of this firewall rubbish either, which Danielle Smith supports.
