Letter: Deserving recognition

Dear editor,

Graham Kelly was an outstanding example for all future council candidates in the City of Medicine Hat to emulate.

His first concern was always for the City and its citizens.

He had a gifted ability of persuasion to cut the red tape and bureaucracy to get things done on time and on budget.

He served the citizens and the City well for many years in many capacities.

One of his achievements was the building of the Gas City Campground, now a beautiful oasis on the Prairies.

Graham had the foresight to see what could be developed on a bare piece of rocky ground on the outskirts of the city overlooking the river. It’s peace and tranquility are now enjoyed by people from all over North America.

In light of the above, to show deserving recognition to Graham for his dedicated service to the City of Medicine Hat, I believe the Gas City Camp Ground should be now be renamed the Graham Kelly Gas City Campground.
