Letter: UCP should refund monthly benefits to seniors who lost them due to COVID-19 income support

Dear editor, No doubt much financial hardship was endured by everyone because of the global pandemic. The Liberal government in Ottawa is refunding GIS benefits to those who lost them as the result of receiving COVID-19 benefits – the right thing to do. Now will the provincial UCP step up and do the same for the many seniors who had their monthly benefits also taken away because they were receiving COVID-19 income? An election is close and you can bet the NDP would be looking into doing this type of thing to aid seniors. Mr. Kenney, will you? George Klassen Medicine Hat 7-6
