Letter: Efforts by Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan not in vain

Dear editor, Since the Taliban took back Afghanistan, Canadian soldiers may wonder if their efforts and sacrifices were in vain. By no means. Though the current outcome is not what we would wish, at the very least they gave a generation of Afghan women a brighter outlook and a degree of freedom which the Taliban will never be able to successfully revoke.
