Letter: Sometimes we need to survive together

By Letter to the Editor on April 23, 2021.

Dear editor,

As the vaccines roll out, like most us I have been worrying about my family and if they will be getting their first shot.

I have family in Ontario, B.C. and England, so it has been interesting seeing who has gotten their “shot” and when.

The thought occurred to me that we should look at the world as a big family. We should be very concerned that most of our world-family gets their “shot.” If not, we will see variants for many years to come. Maybe even new pandemics.

We need to learn to share our resources in our own country and with poorer countries before it’s too late.

I know it is hard to think of other people when are just trying to survive, however sometimes we all need to survive together or not at all.
