Letter: MLAs should protest closure of hospital laundry services

Four thousand years ago, when the only healthcare statement was ‘Bring Out Your Dead,’ two guys realized they could have a profitable career by counting beans.

Skip forward 4,000 years, and those same two guys – lets call them E and Y – are still counting beans.

Their philosophy is to privatize everything and count more beans. Hence the closure of the hospital laundry. You did not need to be in Karnak to know this was going to happen. We have two local MLAs who you would hope would protest the closure, but we will probably hear, ‘Yada Yada Yada what a great job the UCP are doing.’

So we had better stay tuned for more bean counting.
