Are you tickled pink or ticked off? I’m both today, and here’s why. I’m tickled pink the comments page is read by so many. It is good to listen to others, especially when the heart guides the hand that writes the words. It gives us the measure of the person writing. I’m ticked off at the anonymous snipers. You know who you are. It’s easy being 10-feet tall and bullet-proof-wise when you shoot from cover. What a gutless shame. I rarely agree with Peter Meuller, but I read his stuff. I don’t accept carte-blanche anything Mr. McLennan writes but I read his stuff. Knowledge, after all, is power. I defend both writers’ right to free speech and expression regardless of view. I publicly salute both men for having the courage and conviction to put their name beside their words in print. When you “diss” another by name, put your name to your criticism. Otherwise, your words carry the same weight and meaning as a stray dog barking at night. If you don’t like either or both the work of Mr. Mueller and Mr. McLennan, then don’t read it. You have that option. I don’t like scotch. I know it’s scotch in the bottle because I read the label. Understand? To demand either stop writing because you disagree with him is to demand censorship. Censorship sucks. If that’s a bridge too far, then price out some tickets to North Korea or Iran. Leath Johnston Medicine Hat 14
