Area business and ranchers are not happy with the local RCMP detachment. There is a prowler breaking into rural property. Reported with a very clear description, Dodge truck, white with black passenger door and fender, diesel, flat deck, dually with one odd tire tread on rear. Suspect is about 6-foot, larger build, tattoos around neck. Has been seen and reported several times, a lot of quads, tools, etc., have been stolen from west of Redcliff to as far east as Maple Creek. This guy has no fear, breaks into property in broad daylight even with witnesses. Was seen in my yard Friday morning snooping around, but left when he was seen. Broke into garage next door while neighbour (who confronted him) was home. Was reported to RCMP, who didn’t bother to come out to investigate or even take a statement. Truck seen in Redcliff, reported, again, nothing done by RCMP. Hope he is stopped soon. People out in the country feel they are on their own and are not afraid to protect their families. Hoping to make enough commotion via media so RCMP do something before something bad happens. John McLeod Cypress County 7
That’s why there will be more cases like Gerald Stanley’s occurring, and rightly so.
