Activist shareholder Browning West says the incumbent board of directors at Gildan Activewear Inc. has resigned ahead of the company’s annual meeting on Tuesday.

The activist investor is among several major Gildan shareholders that have been campaigning to have the clothing maker’s former CEO reinstated.
