Every time I’m in the Esplanade or Big Marble I marvel at what wonderful facilities they are, and how glad I am that we made investments into them a couple decades ago. I get the up-front cost is huge, but if we really value progress and growth in this city we need generational thinking and long-term vision. Killing a project in the design phase flies in the face of that.

Thanks to whomever picks the books for the Big Marble Go Centre library! I have read many books from there and all but one was really good. It’s great to be able to pick up and return books while attending the yoga classes.

Smith’s reasoning for no funding for SafeLink is bogus. Do we really live in the dark ages? Reality of addiction is certainly not clear cut. Education and safe precautions for those who are gonna use no matter what. That’s how addiction works, having a pamphlet is a weak excuse.

The person in Thursdays TOTP who said they aren’t scared of Trump. You should be. ICE is literally murdering people in the streets. They are incarcerating thousands of innocent people. I don’t think our country is the one that’s failing.

Great, we’re cozying up to China who has repeatedly been caught messing with our country just because we are in a tiff with the U.S. who have only been guilty of showing how inept our country has been run.

If we had more pipelines we would have more money for health care, and if we didn’t have our tax money being given to Quebec (transfer payments) we would be in way better position.

That I get vaccinated for all infants under six months, permanently other abled individuals, those undergoing chemotherapy, the elderly, my family, friends, enemies and myself in that order.

Danielle Smith, why are home health-care workers expected to go into environments that are utterly unsafe, toxic. Our hospitals have a standard of care and environment. Shortage of workers is astounding, but considering the death traps we must go into, is it any wonder? Why are these same standards not upheld in environments outside hospital, residential?

Reading between the lines, it appears momentum to sign recall petitions for Wright and Smith has waned if campaigners have to get stories in the News saying they need help.

If the hospital minister has enough tools to address problems in the system, why hasn’t he used them and fixed the system? Who isn’t getting the job done? If we know that, why are they still employed?

To those individuals who don’t like Danielle Smith, please tell me what other options there are. There is only the NDP and Liberals. Are we really going to vote for them?

That the Appeal Court has also ruled the use of the Emergencies Act in 2022 was unreasonable. Maybe we should be concerned about the authoritarianism in our own country.

Minister Matt Jones of Hospital & Surgical Health Services, lack of urgency heard from doctors in Hospitals. You haven’t the experience or knowledge to shrug off what those professionals in the field are telling you. Albertans are dying waiting for care in ER waiting rooms, resources far overstretched. Another Smith bad decision.

We are so lucky to have Dr. Paul Parks working here in Medicine Hat! I have had his help in the ER several times over the years, and he has always treated me with a kind, gentle and knowledgeable bedside manner.

Saw a program about American private health care insurance and how insured people had to fight their insurance company for coverage they thought they had. We haven’t had to do that with our public system, but the Alberta government is working on it.
