So proud to sing the national anthem while attending a local golf tournament on Canada Day. Children should sing this song every day in school to encourage pride and joy in living in this great country.

That Hill Pool was at max capacity after 5 minutes of being open due to there being fewer lifeguards on duty. A bunch of us outside were not in a good mood.

The UCP is a separatist party taking Alberta in a direction we do not want to go. Even members of the party are not satisfied and they want to bring back the PC Party. Please do, and get us out of the mess we are in.

Someone suggested moving to garbage collection every two weeks as a cost savings measure. I enjoy weekly pickup, and I’m happy to pay for it. That’s true for most of the services the city provides. I don’t think we should be in a race to the bottom for taxes. Please continue to provide quality services for reasonable taxes and utility rates. Gotta pay to play.

To have an MLA with a ‘you don’t want it I’m doing it anyway’ attitude. Shows her state of mind, but I am not sure how that will turn out on election day.

At the person saying TOTP is not printing more support for the UCP government. Did it occur to you the majority is not happy with this government? I cannot find much to be tickled pink with it right now, and I’m sure a lot of others feel the same.

Hats off to all those who made Canada Day such a wonderful event over the two days. The drones were good, just a suggestion though for next year if they could rotate them 180 degrees, because where we were watching from, we missed so many of the designs.

For years we heard high prices were due to carbon tax. So, whose fault is it now, conservatives?

Carney just wants to negotiate a trade agreement with the U.S. It is hard to deal with a man child who wants everything to go his way. His way, or the highway. Canada wants the high way, but the U.S. does not under Trump.

If a tree falls in a populated rural Medicine Hat streetway, will the city do anything to prevent it from happening again and potentially killing someone?

The premier and Alberta Next looking for input from Albertans. Survey provides multiple choice answers, no opportunity to say no, and no space for comments. A total waste of taxpayer dollars, she will do what her handlers tell her to do, so just ask them for input.

The girl at the emergency department was so very helpful in getting me to the dentist rather than wait in line for many hours. Very much appreciated and I hope she is recognized for her good work ethics.

Surely Medicine Hat Stampede could have picked someone more deserving for marshal this year. Someone from the Tigers/Bandits team, perhaps?

A British travel writer wrote that in Canada you could “drown in niceness.”Canada is a caring, sharing country respected throughout the world. If Alberta separated we would lose that respect. Separation is about greed. The opposite of caring.

Was very proud of my fellow Albertans booing Carney at the Calgary Stampede. He runs a country like he flips a pancake, poorly.

I would be so happy to see fluoride put into our water, too. Edmonton and Calgary have it. We need it, too. Don’t know about you but I can’t afford those dentist bills anymore. I need those thousands of dollars for groceries, utilities, mortgage and insurance.
