Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, June 24, 2025

Tickled Pink

I would be if they built a 30,000 pound Bunker Buster Bar instead of a Buster Bomb.

Tickled Pink

That the Florida Panthers won the Stanley Cup again and put the Edmonton Oilers in their place. I watched all six games and the fans in Edmonton showed their mentality by booing the Panthers at every opportunity.

Tickled Pink

At how beautiful downtown Medicine Hat is. The hanging flowers and blooming trees are amazing. Bravo to council and mayor and all the civic workers for making it so. Thanks.

Tickled Pink

With Canada Day nearly here, am so tickled to see our wonderful country running beautifully on almost all cylinders since PM Mark Carney took over. It’s too bad there’s one pip-squeaky leader trying to return us to the dark ages using discounted oil and coal to run on.

Ticked Off

Bells on bikes is the law, but you ring them and most people have earbuds in and cannot hear you.

Ticked Off

Sorry but if you want a property tax exemption you should also be exempt from driving on the city’s roads, enrolling your children in its schools and using public utilities. Many people complain about freeloaders until they have the chance to be one.

Tickled Pink

Just spent an awesome afternoon going downtown for coffee, going clothing shopping at the unique stores, eating at a local restaurant.

Ticked Off

With MLA’s recent Report (June 18) where he claims the gov’t is “committed to supporting quality senior care,” after increasing the costs Albertans pay for their prescriptions and charging Albertans – including seniors – for COVID vaccines in the future rather than having them just sign up (with the gov’t continuing to pay). The increased co-pay also means my private insurance is now going up.

Ticked Off

It’s obvious that the NHL is rigged against Canadian teams. Since it is so obviously unfair, the Canadian teams should separate from the NHL and start their own league.

Tickled Pink

People should be happy to pay taxes. The conservative idea to always reduce taxes is wrong. We should spend tax dollars wisely but not be obsessed with reducing them. To the benefit of all.

Tickled Pink

With some of the best local stores right downtown. They have been hit hard with construction zone occurring. Give them the support they need from this community.

Tickled Pink

That we have no traffic here. So easy to run around doing errands.

Ticked Off

Mayor Clark was vindicated in my opinion. Council seemed to take her leadership shortcomings personal. What boss is loved by all? She lost salary for what? Hurt feelings? Seems council is being petty by not reimbursing her.

Tickled Pink

Canada dodged a bullet when Carney became our prime minister. We could have a government like the U.S. Thank goodness for the sanity of most of Canada.

Tickled Pink

When I first started receiving the influenza vaccine many years ago, I had to pay because I was young and also healthy. I’m not happy either to pay for the COVID vaccine, but I will because I don’t just do it for myself but for all of you.

Tickled Pink

If only we could get rid of the Useless Clown Party (UCP). They don’t believe in science or care about Albertans.

Ticked Off

Complaining that contributors to TOTP are uninformed is saying nothing. Unless you have specific examples, why comment at all?

Ticked Off

Adriana LaGrange and Danielle Smith need to go, Prescriptions are a necessity for seniors. So what are they doing? Targeting seniors. Who is our advocate?

Ticked Off

So, fewer people watched the Stanley Cup final. Maybe if they weren’t playing in late June when most people want to be outside, rather than watching TV. Hey, NHL, maybe end sooner.

Tickled Pink

My wife had another birthday last week. I know how old she is, but I always see the beauty I found 47 years ago! Can’t keep my hands off of her!

Ticked Off

I miss the commercials that CHAT would make for our local businesses. They were well made and entertaining. Please come back.

Ticked Off

If those using school yards and sports fields as an off-leash area would be ticketed by bylaw. Whenever they are there people should call bylaw. It’s not safe for small children, or actually anyone, to have to clean feces off your shoes.

Tickled Pink

If the premier would review the cost of 900 management positions at AHS, she may just find there is some waste there and will be able to fund the COVID shots.

Tickled Pink

Congrats to the city for its rework of the corner downtown at the Royal Bank. Much safer and easy to use now there is real merge going south at the bank corner. Thanks to all the city planners and officials and the contractor. Good work.

Ticked Off

How are Canadians OK with the Liberals spending taxpayer dollars how ever they want without checks and balances? When Carney gives $85 million to the UN so they can launder it into things like environmental awareness, instead of using it on things like health care, you know you are being ripped off yet again.
