Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, April 10, 2025

Tickled Pink

Ovechkin surpassing Gretzky’s goal scoring record is a stunning accomplishment. To think that any player has to score 90 goals per season for 10 seasons, or even 45 goals over the course of 20 seasons is just crazy. Congrats, Ovi.

Tickled Pink

Why do people believe Canada is broken and the Liberal leadership has been a disaster? You know it isn’t true. How are they going to fix a broken Canada? Crazy glue!

Tickled Pink

I wish Canada had a right-wing government that could do as much for us as the Republicans have done for the United States.

Ticked Off

That the province has turned the taps on full for the irrigation community. Not opposed to irrigation, done responsibility. I have the position to witness the gross misuse of the water resource. Enough said.

Ticked Off

Amazing the reaction of people to cutting government waste in the U.S. So, you want your tax dollars thrown away?

Ticked Off

People think oil and gas is the end all, be all, but oil and gas is not renewable, so when it’s depleted, then what? We need to look at alternatives now for future.

Ticked Off

Which party implemented GST? Which party changed OAS to 67? Before voting, ask yourself, if you are looking at retirement, when do you want your CPP and OAS? Voters need to really look at these.

Ticked Off

Pierre Poilievre doesn’t seem to know what he is talking about. He just wants to blame the Liberals for everything wrong, but cannot explain why they are to blame. He does not have solutions.

Tickled Pink

Medalta had another wonderful Bees and Blossoms Market event. We are so fortunate to have an amazing facility like Medalta engage with the community in so many ways!

Tickled Pink

That the house finches in our neighbourhood seem to have decided to nest in our trees (I don’t want to peek in case it scares them).

Tickled Pink

That Danielle Smith is our premier. She is working endless hours for our province and our country. Keep up the great work, there are lots of us that appreciate what you are doing.

Ticked Off

At the person saying narrowing the lanes on Kingsway will cause gridlock. In reality, studies show reducing driving lanes does not cause congestion at all, and actually improves both traffic flow and safety. The same way that adding lanes to a road doesn’t solve traffic congestion.

Tickled Pink

That Danielle Smith thinks people want her to “sit down and shut up” because she is a woman. When, in reality, we want her to sit down and shut up because she’s an imbecile.

Ticked Off

Must be nice watching downtown decisions from the sidelines. If you ran a business down here, you’d know losing two high-traffic parking spots does matter, especially when they’re being removed under the guise of safety. The city can’t even mark an intersection properly. We’re not against progress, just tired of constant road construction, sloppy planning and no accountability.

Tickled Pink

With the city’s forward thinking in considering a protected bike lane for Kingsway Avenue. We have only one functioning bike lane in Medicine Hat (covered in gravel), which I use nearly every time I ride. Any addition to the active transportation infrastructure would be absolutely delightful! Build it and they will come.

Ticked Off

Definition of “woke” – To be alert and concerned about social injustice and discrimination. It’s laughable that certain politicians and individuals throw the word around like it’s a bad thing. Just goes to show their lack of understanding, empathy and intelligence. I’d much rather be woke than a backward-thinking fear monger.

Tickled Pink

Finally council has decided to publish top level expenses and wages. It is about time.

Ticked Off

Premier Smith, there is more to acute care than surgery. Emergency and ongoing medical problems also need care.

Tickled Pink

With staff doing such a good job of keeping their property clean at the downtown Medicine Hat Villa hotel.
