Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, April 8, 2025

By Ticked Off - Tickled Pink on April 8, 2025.

Ticked Off

Our premier seems to be the only one who doesn’t get it. Donald Trump doesn’t care what you say, think or do. I sure wish we had a provincial election much sooner before she destroys Alberta beyond repair.

Tickled Pink

That you are here reading this Tickled Pink! Yes, you! You are needed in this world and I am grateful to share this City of Medicine Hat with you!

Tickled Pink

That commenter saying a Cybertruck is loud is more about their political view than their hearing. I have an owner near me. That vehicle has same sound as an electric bike.

Ticked Off

I have a simple solution about our premier. Let’s just have a province-wide referendum for either approval or non approval of independence. Then everyone can stop praising or whining about it because they have had their say, and whether they like it or not, the mob rules. Simple.

Ticked Off

At the complete lack of uproar over a 5.6% tax hike in the city. Everyone just quietly accepts it as city departments grow bigger and bigger. No, this increase isn’t due to inflation it’s all these crazy “woke” initiatives and positions that everyone is too scared to even talk about for fear of being doxxed.

Ticked Off

At all the “smart” people who say “just move to the U.S. then.” That is very hard to do legally, otherwise I would have been gone years ago. If the U.S. decides to take us over, there’s not a blessed thing all your protesting can do to stop it.

Tickled Pink

I have poor health, a grumpy wife and tariffs. Things can only get better!

Ticked Off

People are demanding more money be put into education and then are shocked when their education taxes go up. Who did you think was going to pay for it? Certainly not the oil and gas industry you don’t think is important.

Tickled Pink

Criminal conviction looks good on Tamara Lich, and it should’ve been a surprise to anyone in Ottawa who endured the brutal occupation that she encouraged.

Ticked Off

Spring has sprung. ‘Tis the season when my smoking neighbours are out in full force on their balconies to prevent me from enjoying mine. Please stay inside and keep your carcinogens to yourself. Thank you.

Ticked Off

With President Trump’s global tariff war, some uninhabited Antarctic islands are being hit with a 10% tariff. What are the cute little penguins to do?

Tickled Pink

We had a good belly laugh at the “Tariffminator, Hasta La Vista Foot” of the orange president shooting himself in the foot pic, in the Comments section of Thursday’s Medicine Hat News. I taped it to the fridge so we can have a chuckle or two out of all this chaos.

Tickled Pink

That soon I will be able to get expanded cardiac services at our hospital. There won’t be any doctors to help me, but it’s nice to know it’s there.

Ticked Off

That our premier doesn’t just say to people asking her questions, “Fake news,” when she doesn’t agree with it. Just like her orange-haired hero does.

Ticked Off

At the idea of narrowing driving lanes on Kingsway Avenue. Watching road lanes disappear for empty bike lanes, expanded curbs, sidewalks with little to low foot traffic. Gridlock to push drivers out of cars. You can be supportive of mass transit and safer roads without making it prohibitive for vehicles.

Tickled Pink

It’s great the city is fixing the intersection at Third Street and Sixth Avenue downtown. Where else would you be required to change lanes in an intersection? In fact, it’s illegal to do that in some provinces. Time to move with the times.

Tickled Pink

I hope part of Tamara Lich’s sentencing is an acknowledgement that her actions and words caused extreme distress to the citizens of Ottawa. An apology directly from her (not her lawyer) is in order.

Ticked Off

That business owners believe the loss of two parking spots downtown will affect business. Owners have a lot more to fix in order to draw customers downtown than worrying about the loss of two parking spots.

Tickled Pink

If the huge greenhouses north of the city would grow fruits or vegetables to reduce the cost of healthy food for our citizens. This should not compete with local growers, but replace that which comes from the U.S.

Ticked Off

Losing parking downtown will encourage businesses to move from downtown. Isn’t the idea is to make downtown a thriving place, not hamper it?

Ticked Off

A sovereignty meeting? This ‘group’ has nothing better to do? Even when in Alberta 85% say ‘no, never’ to leaving Canada? How do they not understand this? Eighty-five per cent say Canada is where we belong.

Ticked Off

Following Trump’s ‘Liberation Day,’ our premier celebrated a victory. I wonder how we Albertans are going to enjoy paying up to $10,000 more for our beloved pickup trucks? Steel and auto workers who have lost their jobs certainly aren’t celebrating.

Ticked Off

That selfish dog owners keep hogging the pathway. Shorten your leash and keep your dog beside you, not running up to me or my bike. You should know better..

In a few yrs when the PC’s win AB again, it will be delightful to observe the 1/2 dozen Socialists, who continue to get their cries printed, cry even harder.
