By Letter to the Editor on March 26, 2025.
Dear editor and Medicine Hat News readers, Over the last several weeks, a group of citizens has been gathering in front of Danielle Smith’s constituency office to voice concerns about UCP decisions that are harming Albertans and our beautiful province. We want to thank all who have joined us and let those who drive by with friendly waves and honks know how much we appreciate your support. We are grateful for the people who dropped off coffee and doughnuts one day! We have had young children in attendance and want them to feel safe. We ask that those who drive by remember to keep their comments and rude gestures to themselves. Remember, freedom to protest is a hallmark of democracy. If you are concerned about our current Alberta government and want to gather with like-minded people, please feel free to join us. The Saturday morning protests are nonpartisan, and new people have expressed how much they enjoyed getting involved. Everyone is welcome to join us for lunch after at our local restaurants! We believe democracy is being challenged. The opportunity to unite with others has provided hope and has created community. Please consider joining us this Saturdays from 10:30-11:30 a.m. at 740 Division Ave. N.
