Dear editor, It has become more and more obvious what Premier Danielle Smith and her cronies want, and that is to become either an independent nation (separate from Canada) or become the 51st state and be part of the U.S. dictatorship with the deranged president of that former republic. She has travelled to the U.S. on the public dime a couple of times now urging that administration to hold back with the tariffs while we have an election and to back the CPC under the leadership (?) of Pierre Poilievre. Here in part is her quote on Breitbart, the extreme right media in the U.S. “I would say, on balance, the perspective that Pierre (Poilievre) would bring would be very much in sync with, I think, the new direction in America.” That is saying PP is a fascist by association with the U.S. administration, and he would be good for Canada as a PM. Doesn’t sound too Canadian to me. Canada is at war (trade war) with the U.S. so asking for aid from the enemy could easily be interpreted as treason. Plus, foreign influences are looked down upon by Elections Canada. Smith has repeatedly rebuffed the Team Canada approach to the tariff war. She is not a Canadian, in my opinion, but – to use her favourite president’s name for it – the enemy within. There is already a petition circulating which has over 9,500 signatures asking her to step down. There is also a method of recall in this province that could cost her her seat if it succeeds. It is time for her to listen to the people. She and her government do not have the mandate to negotiate to become a separate state, nor to become the 51st state of the U.S. This has never been articulated in the UCP policies. She must go. Basically, Danielle Smith is a traitor. It’s no wonder why former Conservative politicians in Alberta have said that they don’t trust Danielle Smith and the UCP.
Ever notice how all the “have nots” want a left wing gov’t, hoping they’ll get a handout.
Handouts? Corporate welfare handouts are what the UCP wastes millions and billions of dollars on, like the Alberta PCs did, ever since Peter Lougheed was no longer the premier of Alberta. The UCP has made well over $80 billion in very costly debacles and mistakes already.
