Letter: Be prepared, the U.S. has abandoned the free world

Dear editor,

The line in the sand of truth and consequences has been drawn between the free world and the U.S. thanks to the current president.

That president has sided with Russia, Belarus, North Korea, Hungary, Iran, Israel, Haiti and 10 more countries in voting against a U.N. resolution condemning the Russian invasion of Ukraine.

This is the first time since the U.N. was formed that the U.S. has voted on Russia’s side. Clearly it is obvious where the U.S. foreign policy now stands – in support of Russia.

Also, on his visit to the White House, French President Emmanuel Macron caught the U.S. president in a lie about who is paying for the war in Ukraine.

The U.S. president insisted that Ukraine would have to pay back the monies loaned to it for the war with Russia. Macron corrected him that this was in fact not a loan but was Europe helping another European country in its fight for freedom against an aggressor (Russia).

The point here is that The U.S. is no longer the leader of the free world, as it has boldly stated since the end of the Second World War. They are now siding with the aggressors and their collective plans, which do not in any way resemble freedom for its citizens or the rest of the world.

For any of you who have read Allan Drury’s Advise and Consent, and his follow-up novel Come Nineveh, Come Tyre, you’ll recognize that the U.S. has now been taken over by a foreign power and have a puppet who dances to whatever tune Russia plays.

Canada best be prepared for more than tariffs and a trade war from the U.S. With the current puppet in control, graver things will happen.

Be prepared.
