Dear editor: Mr. Pierre Poilievre (Brokenitis) has spent the last two years telling us, unendingly, how dysfunctional and broken Canada is. Now he wraps himself in our flag, which, 60 years ago, his party fought against adopting as our flag. Who said “patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrels”? Not me. On the plus side, he has shown a singular knack for finding flagpoles in otherwise empty fields. We should remember he has that skill in case we ever need to find a flagpole in a field. It is noteworthy that Mr. Poilievre’s latest slogan is only two words. His previous slogans were three words, thus, he has achieved a 33.3 per cent word reduction efficiency. If he were to have a one-word slogan his word reduction efficiency would be 66.6 per cent. My hope is that his word reduction efficiency rate reaches 100. Yours truly, Gregory R. Côté Irvine 8
All the conservatives in my world fully agree with you.
This Reformer trying to pretend he is a Conservative continues to prove how ignorant he is. After showing the citizens of Ottawa, or police officers involved no respect, while he praised the criminal convoy truckers and showed no concern for the $65 million debt they created he now tries to pretend what a great family man he is, while families in Ottawa tell us about how their young children were terrified by the horns blowing all night long. Yet he showed no concern for that.
He continues to beat on the Carbon Tax stupidity because that’s all he has, totally ignorant of the fact that it was created by Conservatives and oil executives say it’s the cheapest, most effective way to target Global Warming and 26 other countries agree and have adopted it. If it was going to financially destroy us? Why hasn’t it destroyed the people in Sweden where it was implemented in 1991 and they know it works.
We know the oil executives were right we are getting more in Rebates than we are paying outs, so why destroy it?
