Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Jan. 16, 2025

Tickled Pink

To the person who found a gym with more than two treadmills, I am thrilled for you. I prefer a gym that works for me, not one that has a pile of treadmills and fancy equipment which is spread out all over the place.

Ticked Off

People are acting like Trudeau is the only PM that has resigned. Do you know there are conservative PMs who have also resigned as well?

Ticked Off

I live on a corner lot and I have lumps on my sidewalk. If you don’t like them, feel free to bring your ice scraper over and remove them yourself. They’re probably your footprints that caused them lumps as you march up and down the street inspecting the sidewalk. I’d rather complain about the cracked, raised and broken sidewalks the city never fixes.

Tickled Pink

So happy to see our wonderful MLA and Premier Daniel Smith at Mar-a-Lago in adult discussions with important world leaders.

Tickled Pink

If your street is bad call municipal works at 403-529-8177. They’re great and will be there as soon as possible to correct issues. They need to know. Our tax dollars at work!

Tickled Pink

That the NDP finally has to be quiet about Danielle Smith not living in her riding, as Naheed Nenshi runs in an Edmonton riding. What hypocrisy.

Tickled Pink

If the public and the press kept the heat on our MLAs over health care. Why is lab collection so poorly run? Why do they tell you to use walk-in instead of make an appointment? Why are they hours behind on collection? The people collecting are very good, very consistent.

Ticked Off

Agreeing with an idea is certainly not “stealing” an idea! However, it wasn’t your idea in the first place! (Editor’s note: Nope, sorry. I thought of it the day before you did.)

Tickled Pink

To point out that if Harper had resigned on first scandal, he would have been gone in 2006 – followed by 10 more afterward.

Tickled Pink

The world is full of bylaw/policy flouters and compliers. I am doing my little bit to ensure more complying. After all, these regulations apply to us all equally.

Tickled Pink

I would be if the News would get a new editor who’s not a far-left wing nut. (Editor’s note: Relax, I’m just a wacko for math. Try not to let it ruin your day.)

Tickled Pink

Sure thankful that the Trudeau supporting guy with extreme conservative derangement syndrome doesn’t live in our city. Imagine combining that level of naivete with ignorance.

Ticked Off

Used to be we worried about Russian oligarchs, but now we have to worry about Besos, Musk, Zuckerberg and others. Are they looking after our best interests or theirs? It is scary they have so much influence and power.

Ticked Off

Being older, I don’t understand how people can get restaurant food delivered by Skip etc. You’re paying way more than the real price, and if you cooked your own meals, you’d save a bunch of money. It’s not that hard to cook tasty meals quickly. Just takes practice. Plus, they are so much better for you.

Tickled Pink

That I can finally sleep at night knowing there are traffic circles tucked away on the SE Hill. By the way, more of a traffic impediment, covered with snow.

Tickled Pink

To read letter from Gregory R Cote pointing out Trudeau’s commitment to the West by buying and completing a pipeline which is adding over $15 billion a year to Alberta’s economy. The least Premier Smith should do is acknowledge that.
