So the Town of Coaldale is complaining that it is going to face a huge loss of revenue because of the ban on photo radar. That tells me it’s being treated like a cash cow and not a safety issue. Cities and towns should not be treating revenue from photo radar as a source of income to run their community.

Can’t believe the city is considering spending millions on a food waste program that would be a money waste. Not a great management decision again.

In March they make truck driving a red seal trade. Experienced drivers will finally get paid what they’re worth, and companies can no longer take advantage of them. The old boys club in this town will soon get a wakeup as wages jump $10/hr.

Trump seems to want to punish Canada. I don’t think I want to travel to the U.S. until they choose to eliminate his disagreeable presence. God help us.

So happy and impressed with how Volker Stevin keeps the highway clean and ice free this winter. I can drive all year round with my bald summer tires.

New scam: You receive a phone call saying there was a problem delivering your package and to call this number. No company would call and not identify who they are first. Be careful. I do find these calls very laughable.

If people would learn chai is “a type of Indian tea, made especially by boiling the tea leaves with milk, sugar and cardamom.” It’s not chai tea. That’s redundant. Coffee shops offer chai latte, so you make chai with milk and then add milk to it?

I think Canada should increase the price of goods it exports to the U.S. to make the tariffs it imposes even worse on American consumers. Call it an export tax. Trumps bullying should not be tolerated.

I find it disturbing that KFC runs an ad on TV that says BFD, Gordon Ramsey says “What the flavour” and “Shut the frigging door” are acceptable language. We know what you are saying. Let us bring back some censorship.

The changes to Division Avenue are not that bad. I think I will still be able to speed through the area. What is the big deal?

There needs to be a cap on what dentists can charge. I’m certainly not remortgaging my house.

Syria is now in the hands of rebels that have their roots in Al-Qaeda. Things won’t end well.

With a proposal to build a massive, 14-storey, private, for-profit health-care facility in Fort McMurray. It is already supported by some UCP MLAs, and the builder is a UCP financial supporter. It looks like another attack on equal access medical care in Alberta, and further erosion of the Canada Health Act.

Huge congratulations to the Medicine Hat Musical Theatre production of Shirley Valentine. My mom and I were completely entranced as we walked through the reality of our shared female experience. The joys of family, the boredom of daily tasks, the limits we set on our lives but ultimately the absolute joy of finding one’s purpose. Landing planted firmly the best life we can create for ourselves. Life is good. Thank you.

That the Medicine Hat Lodge put on a free Kids Christmas Party with Santa and provided food, games and fun.

So northwest Alberta is getting an AI centre, our premier and MH MLA says. What has she done for MH people? Absolutely nothing.

I can’t take the bad out of bad drivers, but I can make it more inconvenient for drivers to be bad by reporting infractions.

Now that I do my best to avoid information about how the UCP government is changing our province. Tired of being ticked off.

That there are so many low tree limbs over sidewalks in this city. I used to work for a city landscaping department (different city) and we’d walk the sidewalks every year with loppers and a truck following to throw the cut limbs into. It is funny to see people on their phones walk into branches though.

Would be if ridership on buses was boosted by having free service on Sundays. Who knows, it might also boost church attendance, thereby reducing loneliness and isolation.

If you want Canada to become the 51st state you’re welcome to drive due south for an hour or so.

Danielle Smith planned a taxpayer funded trip to Dubai to recruit temporary foreign workers. She doesn’t care about Alberta, or Medicine Hat. She cares about friends and donors who continue to stuff their wallets.

That there is always something positive in my life. A new grandchild, the love of my wife, or even just a good game of pickleball.
