Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Nov. 28, 2024

Ticked Off

I had the displeasure of traveling the Trans-Canada east of Cluny to Bassano, and I can see that section is not properly maintained. Perhaps the maintenance contractors need to be charged in some of these collisions also.

Ticked Off

The Liberal government is sending $250 affordability cheques to workers earning up to $150,000 and nothing to those receiving social assistance or retired – an obvious attempt to buy votes will backfire when excluded citizens vote in next election.

Tickled Pink

Love seeing the local business collaborations being done. Small local businesses supporting small businesses by having products made from two different small businesses. Brownies with shortbread, yum! Chocolate with coffee beans, yum! Sourdough bread with local chocolate, yum! Such a great idea.

Ticked Off

Dogs continuously barking virtually all day. Is there any bylaw about annoying noise by basking?

Ticked Off

Glad to see Trudeau is cutting taxes for a little bit just to boost his poll numbers.

Ticked Off

The U.S. has to be the most evil and corrupt country in the world. They are the biggest instigators of chaos on this planet, and now Donald Trump is blackmailing countries into wasting 2% of their GDP on military improvements. Money that will only benefit American companies.

Tickled Pink

I watched a show that said everybody trusts Canadians. Does that include the separatists in Alberta?

Tickled Pink

I would be if the city got rid of the two intersections at Seventh and 16th streets on the Trans-Canada. All the traffic turning across the highway can be eliminated by the new traffic lights on Gershaw Drive underpass, there is no need for these dangerous intersections, and traffic would flow without stoppages.

Ticked Off

That the federal government steals so much money from taxpayers. They need to send back a little bit of what they take so people think they are helping. Crooks.

Tickled Pink

A huge thank-you to Pamela Douvis and the Regus building staff for supporting the Medicine Hat Youth Orchestra performing at their Midnight Madness event. The students had a blast performing for the community and sharing their talent. You guys went above and beyond with goodies/food. Thank you for giving them a platform and wonderful venue to perform in, and donating to the Medicine Hat Symphonic Society for future generations of musician. This community is fabulous!

Tickled Pink

I would be if we would change the U.S.-inspired Black Friday sale campaign to a more Canadian version. Say, Happy Beaver sale campaign or the Lucky Loonie sale, some thing with a more patriotic theme.

Tickled Pink

With Trump charging 25% more on Canadian goods. Now we can expand our trade with other countries so we could become international partners. Oh wait, the ports are always on strike. I guess 25% isn’t really that much when you think about it.

Ticked Off

To the person who thinks the city should not support Halo, I can only assume he or she never travels on the number 3 or number one or any rural road and therefore would not need the help of Halo.

Tickled Pink

I am celebrating. I went to the dentist this morning. Under Federal Dental Care Plan, four bite wing x-rays and a check up, I paid a total of $11.76. Thank you to the Government of Canada! Dental care is health care!

Ticked Off

Re: Circle mayhem, a traffic circle is very easy to navigate. You enter it, and get off it at your desired street. If you consider a traffic circle to be “circle mayhem” then maybe you should not be driving.

Ticked Off

That the president-elect of the U.S. is blaming Canada for unwanted people coming into the United States. Isn’t it the U.S. Border Services’ job to decide who to allow in?

Tickled Pink

That Medicine Hat is so flush with cash that they can spend $590,000 on a third-party study.

Ticked Off

With these blasted traffic circular speed bumps. It’s been 24 hours since snow and they still haven’t cleared them. Impossible to see them white on white.

Ticked Off

I hope Trump’s tariffs will come to pass. Countries don’t export goods, companies do. Tariffs don’t punish countries, they punish consumers. Trump’s ignorance of these facts should punish him but he is Teflon coated.

Ticked Off

Wouldn’t it be great if our politicians were truthful and we could believe everything they said? It is a nice dream but none of them seem to want to be that way.

Ticked Off

The city had to spend half a million dollars to find out they just have to hire people to properly run our utility that has worked just fine. What a waste of money.

Tickled Pink

We can finally drive on Division Avenue. What a relief. Good or bad, at least there is through traffic. Get over it.

Ticked Off

Please, city council, stop listening to a very small group of disgruntled citizens. They are costing us a bunch of money for their own benefit and ego. We did ,a energy review that cost us $600K like a certain individual wanted, and they are still not happy. Enough already. Stop wasting tax dollars to appease the very few.

Tickled Pink

Let’s look at what Danielle Smith has done for this constituency. Can you name something? I just love her. What a godsend she represents us.

Ticked Off

Why does Medicine Hat want to change our utility? What is the problem? There is not one. Leave it alone.

Ticked Off

Amused by the person who said they were glad Danielle Smith was going to Trump’s inauguration as he is a great man. It’s obvious you don’t know anything about him, or have chosen to ignore the majority of what you do know about him.

Tickled Pink

If everyone would politely call or text ahead of your drop-in visit. It is inconsiderate to just think your company is welcomed without notice.

Ticked Off

President-elect Trump should be reminded that the illegal drug problems on the U.S. borders result from the voracious appetite for illegal drugs by his fellow Americans.

Ticked Off

So, Mr. Trump is a great man? Is this the same man who let 3,535 per million fellow U.S. citizens die of COVID when he told them to drink bleach to cure it? While in Canada, mean Mr. Trudeau told us to wear masks and get vaccinated, and the death rate was 1,424 per million? Just asking.
