Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, Sept. 21, 2023

Tickled Pink

To hear that the privileged opposition has egg on his face as he assumed he could read the room by a picture in the media. Next time keep quiet if nothing nice to say.

Ticked Off

At these grocery stores that beg for donations to a charity. Putting people on the spot who can not afford to put food on their own table is shameless. It is a racket, you are paying for the huge salaries of the executives of the charity. Also the grocery store chain has already made the donation and that money is going to the grocery store chain.

Tickled Pink

I don’t usually look forward to cooler weather, but if it means more people having to cover up their hideous tattoos with clothing, then bring on the cold!

Ticked Off

At people who complain about other adults for breaking rules that do not affect them whatsoever. Like wearing a helmet on an e-scooter. It is pathetic that this bothers you.

Ticked Off

In the last few years I’ve seen my insurance double, huge rent increases and utilities triple. No caps. Yes, I understand the UCP government works hard for corporations, and it’s very important to them that CEOs get their multi-million-dollar bonuses, but how about the people who voted you in? I know who I won’t be voting for in the next election.

Tickled Pink

That Coun. Sharps stood up to bullying between the mayor and city manager. If all eight councillors state that they were aware every step of the way… I would hope our council would never do layoffs in front of the entire public. Doesn’t anyone wonder, if the mayor was spouting transparency why wasn’t she transparent about getting legal advice? Why didn’t she ask the city solicitor? Why did she do that with nobody’s knowledge? Doesn’t sound very transparent to me.

Ticked Off

People need to think and do for themselves. You can’t blame municipal, provincial, federal governments for every problem you have. Take some ownership and stop being the victim.

Tickled Pink

Watched a girls hockey team practice at Big Marble Go Centre. I was totally surprised on how much skill and speed they had. I’m sure they could beat any boys team. I think I’ll be in the crowd to watch these young ladies play hockey. Hats off to you girls.

Tickled Pink

Bryan Adams concert was awesome. Bottom bowl/floor just shy of sell-out. Bonus was you could hear his vocals. Music didn’t over power him. Thank you Co-op Place & all those who participated in making it happen. Till next concert count us in.

Tickled Pink

That Coun. Shila Sharps responded to my email regarding the feral cat funding. We have significant drug, crime and homeless issues needing taxpayer funding to help humanity. But, regardless if she agreed or not, she promptly and respectfully responded.

Ticked Off

At the snoopy guy down the street always standing beside his house peeking around the corner, standing on the end of driveway looking around snooping. How about you start worrying about yourself rather than worrying what others are doing? Get a life.

Tickled Pink

So happy that Monarch Theatre is going to be functional once again. I will be supporting it.

Ticked Off

Expensive Alberta sees highest energy price increases as Canada’s inflation climbs to 4 per cent.

Ticked Off

Why does the government think going after grocery retailers will help poorer people get ahead? Why not go after the banks which charge 22% or more for credit card debt? Clearing the late charges on some people would help them more than saving $50 on groceries. Because money talks, and the poor people walk!

Ticked Off

I see our MLA has clearly got his message on deregulation through to Alberta Health Services, not a single daycare facility in South Ridge has a recent or a posted health inspection. Is E. coli in the future for our children?

Tickled Pink

That I was able to meet Mayor Clark at the Art in Motion event this past weekend. I was very impressed with her knowledge and awareness of the issues. I also very much appreciated her sincerity. I am glad she is standing up for transparency and accountability in council.
