Ticked Off and Tickled Pink, June 1

Ticked Off

I am ticked off that the Medicine Hat News has reduced the size of the larger Saturday Wonderword. The bigger letters are much easier to work with.

Tickled Pink

Skip the Dishes is great, no cooking no washing up, but quit your moaning when you don’t have spare money to go do anything else.

Ticked Off

Watching wait staff invest decades to a certain restaurant owners that are bullies and greedy making staff tip out to manager. Wake up, you deserve so much better, invest in yourself.

Tickled Pink

If the city would address, or at least realize and publicly speak on problem. Obviously majority of council do not live in area of greatest concern. Have had items stolen frequently, vandalism and prowlings. Crickets…

Ticked Off

Just because you always voted that way doesn’t mean it was the best decision. Our students were smarter than those who could vote.

Ticked Off

Well it’s the end of May and tin can alley is still sitting vacant. I continually write submissions and the ticked off tickled pink about this… But somehow they never get posted. Where is our mayor in this?

Tickled Pink

If the MHPS would ticket vehicles at Allowance Avenue and Braemar Street. One in 10 adhere to the stop sign!

Ticked Off

I’m confused. Is plastic banned or not? Some businesses still provide plastic bags, cutlery and straws. Others the “wooden” version or reusable bags to purchase. Is single-use plastic banned or not? If so, who is enforcing it? Certainly not our prime minister with the colourful socks.

Ticked Off

So Kamloops has seating for roughly 5,400 in their rink – we can hold roughly 1,000 more. Why can’t we host a Memorial Cup soon especially with the new players that are coming on board? We’re going to be well prepared for it in a couple years.

Ticked Off

Woke up May 30 hoping it was a bad dream to see the winner of AB premier!

Ticked Off

I sure don’t want to read any more posts complaining about the lab. You had a chance for change and chose to stick with the same old. With a new majority government you can count on more cuts so the problems seen at the lab will spread to other areas of government services as the promised tax cuts will likely be paid for through cuts to spending, aka services. It’s going to be a tough four years.

Tickled Pink

Congratulations to Justin Wright. Hopefully he represents his constituents in government and supports his governing party. Now that would be a considerable improvement over our last representative.

Ticked Off

If you’re always noticing the guy watching down the street, you must be watching him. Who’s creepy now?

Tickled Pink

Yeah, yeah, the NDP didn’t win. Had nightmares about them winning. Now let’s get back to making this province a great one. Let’s hope Notley can rise above her childish ways and help make this province a great place to live and stop complaining every single minute like she has done since the last time she lost.

Ticked Off

It took close to 20 years to recover from the Klein cuts and now we will be in for more cuts that will take decades to recover from. Amazing how some people don’t care about cuts to services because they don’t currently use that service, but consider the fact when you do need that service it may no longer be available.

Ticked Off

Clouston is coaching in the Memorial Cup while the Tigers have been golfing for months. It’s time to admit that recycling Willie was a mistake.

Tickled Pink

To see the crowds at Rotary Track. What a successful sports complex! Especially, in conjunction with the nearby: Big Marble Centre; adjacent High School facilities; multiple baseball and soccer fields; BMX racing track; Methanex football field; and recently added pickle ball courts! My unsolicited concern is that this sporting centre ‘hub’ is putting extreme pressure on existing nearby visitors washroom facilities. So, suggesting it may be time for our city to seriously consider adding some centrally located permanent washroom facilities, across the road, in the adjacent empty city land in NE Crescent Heights! (And yes, I still regret that our $75 million events centre wasn’t also located nearby).
