Tickled Pink Tickled pink that a bike path is been built along Carry Drive, right next to a sidewalk, touching at times. Next to this is Carry Drive, that was brutal last winter and will only get worse as we cycle through the seasons… sigh. Ticked Off That there is virtually no campaigning being done by the current council or new candidates for the upcoming civic election! Do the existing councillors expect an easy re-election for another four years on their past achievements? And the new candidates, the greater majority of us have never heard of them! Talk to us! Tickled Pink Tickled pink by the local woman going to the Paralympics. Good luck. Ticked Off Local voters always play the same game, saying they want to vote to “send a message,” but the only message they send is that no political party need bother with this corner of Alberta, because we always vote the same no matter how often it bites us in the backside. Tickled Pink With so many new candidates allowing their names to stand for city council election this fall, it shows both the level of disdain for our existing council and a never-seen-before number who believe they can contribute to improving municipal government locally. Have the incumbents received the message of discontent being signalled? Is there a betting line on how many are returned for another term? Hatters will certainly have a choice to clean the slate this fall. Ticked Of Everyone talks about the irresponsible dog owners but what about the irresponsible cat owners? There is a bylaw in place for cats just like dogs. I’m so tired of cleaning cat hair off my patio furniture. If I wanted hair on it, I’d have my own damn cat. Be a decent citizen and responsible owner and keep your cat on a leash in your own yard as per city bylaw. Ticked Off If Trudeau is looking for my vote, he is asking for more than I can give right now, sorry. Tickled Pink To Tom Rooke for your excellent letter to the editor. I too am feeling downtrodden. That’s exactly what I cannot understand is why we are being punished with those who choose not to vaccinate. Let’s move on with life. Ticked Off Thanks to the neighbour who likes partying and waking up neighbours. Be mindful. You don’t like noise bylaws, get an acreage! Tickled Pink Tickled pink by the letter to the editor in Saturday’s Medicine Hat News regarding Sage Watson and Mark Sakamoto. I agree completely, they were wonderful representatives for Medicine Hat and Sage should be very proud of her accomplishments. Tickled Pink To the lady who walks along Carry Drive most mornings, around 7:30 a.m. I see you. I appreciate you. Thank you for all you do, keeping the sidewalks clean and pretty, though I wish we could all be good enough humans and not leave you litter to pick up. I have wanted to honk, yell “Thank-you,” from my car, or do something to communicate my appreciation, but all options seem awkward or obnoxious, so I hope you see this! Tickled Pink Thank you to those who share their jigsaw puzzles for free. Bad taste to those who then sell what was given free! Medicine Hat isn’t that big. Ticked Off I commend those businesses choosing to mask up. It really isn’t too much to ask of the public to stay safe, even if you’ve had your vaccines! 27
