Letter: City council needs term limits

Dear editor,

I believe term limits should be mandated for city council, including the mayor’s office and elected members of council. Two terms should suffice. If you cannot achieve what you set out to achieve in eight years, then something is wrong with your efforts.

Staggering the vote so half the members carry forward each election would allow for continuity on council. New blood with new ideas would create a more lively atmosphere and increased interest in city affairs. 

Keep doing what you have been doing and you will keep getting what you have been getting! The present system does not give us a big enough bang for our buck!
