Dear editor, There is little doubt that the AISH program as it is now administered, is broken and fails those who have navigated through a plethora of minefields to actually get approved to receive it. But now to punish the recipients of it further financially by taking away their monthly benefits, including prescription drug coverage, all because their spouse has lost his job due to COVID-19 and because he qualified to receive CERB, that is cruel and inhuman. This benefit is to be for the severely handicapped, so that they, being unable to work at all, can have a sense of dignity and humanity by providing something for their families. They get punished and have their sense of self worth destroyed because their spouse lost his job and now collects CERB. Travesty? I say yes and to the extreme. George Klassen Medicine Hat 10
